It's a 16cm exhaust housing. I was planning on replacing it with a precision 7168 but i like the holset to much :) dirt cheap and reliable!

Not much, almost everything is left stock. The most expensive part is the standalone and other electronics around the engine. It's being converted to 4motion right now!

Congrats to a nice build! Im converting mine to 4motion right now :) Yepp im running stock internals with arp headstuds with about 500whp. Going built motor now with ie rods and je pistons with a precision 6766. Hoping for around 800whp with that setup.

It is not the same engine. The 2.8 is called the AAA and the 2.9 is called the ABV. The AAA engine is only used in the golf and the ABV engine is used in the Corrado and Golf Syncro.

I've owned Golfs with both AAA and ABV engines, all European. I've worked on these cars so I definitely know what I am talking about.

Sounds good :). I am converting a Passat 35i B4 VR6 Syncro to Turbo and 4-Motion. I have allmost all the parts but still missing someone to build my engineblock and head. I got some Wiseco 8:1 pistons etc. etc. :). I guess i will drive at first as FWD since the haldex controllers are still very expensive, but the most of the parts is allready ready :).

It's a hx52 and it comes standard with 16cm3 housing and a billet wheel.

Exactly what my turbo 2000 Nissan Maxima use to do....lol It made 416whp 14psi on 60-1 turbo

T4! I tuned it myself so it has alot more power to give in a real dyno With a good tuner. Im going to build a new exhaust manifold and replace some ignition parts and buy 2150cc injectors :) Tranny will also be swapped for a 02m 6spd!

if u running on e85, the stoichometric mixture is lean, afr for e85 is 8,6....

Yoo Mikael, nice vr6 turbo. Building one myself now. A golf 2 4x4 vr6 turbo. But i was looking for a nice holset turbo. Thought the hx40 would be to big (want to achieve 450 whp or so). But you drive the hx52 on a stock vr6? With stock internals? And how much hp do you make if i may ask? Thanks :)

i am impressed! i just ordered a HX35 with 14cm exhaust housing for my VR6 Turbo project. If i am not happy i will change it with a GTX35 but the HX52 is interesting too. How big is your exhaust housing?

Yeah, i payed 3000NOK for mine. NEW and including shipping. And i can be sure it is not a fake Holset :). Is it T3 or T4 on yours? Who mapped your car?

Yeah i tuned it like that to kill the motor.....or im running gasoline afr display on e85 fuel.

Dude the the golf mk3 has the AAA 2,8 and the Corrado has the 2.9L ABV. I know what i've built.

corrado has exactly the same engine like golf mk3 vr6

too bad that cameram mic makes a dreadful sound. the car sounds great though.
