MK3 ESL emulator issues 

no, VVDI prog has always hooked up pretty well... I don't use it anymore though, I use ACDP... you just clean where the pins hit and you are golden... The VVDI prog is only 5 wires, power +, power -, purple, yellow, green, and the coax... it has always worked for me... What is your mask on the chip and which cable are you using??

@@timtracy94420L15Y VVdi prog reader other modules no problem. this is the second cas 3+ istap to read and always same thing "chip not connect" I put back module car starts with original key fine. took risk downgraded firmware try to add key when adding tells me success but key id shows 00000 after get key info. when I read chip it tells me its locked and programmed but car does not recognize it. Also tried to read chip again, Now original key stopped working car has no electricity whatsoever not even lights in the car turns on. Any idea?

@@BlenderSCA don't ever downgrade if you don't have a backup... yank the cas, your flash is probably messed up... read the eprom and the flash, then look at the lock bits, also compare flash to a known good working flash, I would bet half of it is missing... what is the part number of cas?

Yes, I can say they have sorted the issue... The new ones work just like the older ones...

I have the MBE setup, and to tell you the truth, any of these that I unlock and replace the motor in, I have a comeback in about 6 months.... If someone wants an ESL, i will purchase rebuilt from mercedes, but will not try and rebuild any myself anymore.... If they don't want an emulator, then it's a reman from the dealer, and those come with a two year warranty.... I like the VVDI emulators, but when you go thru a bunch of these, the ones from MK3 are very cost effective...

Not understanding your question.... What is a key cluster???

So can you program the emulator to a w204 is it a generic code or do you have to have the car key as well ?

@@waynewragg4748 did you watch the video??? You have to read the data and find the key password from the EIS....

Of course the best programmer for Mercedes would be factory Xentry... with a 3 year subscription.... But I am a cheap ass who isn't going to pay the $38,000.00 for that... There are so many key programmers, it is hard to say... I like Abrites because I have had it forever and a day, and I don't have to pay tokens... I also have MBE, and for the older models, it is awesome.. I just purchased CGDI for BMW because I was having so many issues with AVDI reading ISN from DME's, CGDI is awesome at that... If there Merc software is the same, then it is well worth having... VVDI is awesome, and there is a big following, but you have to pay for tokens... and there realy isn't any diagnostic tools... Diagspeed is also a great tool, and is priced accordingly... Autel has made great big strides in there software, it is right on the top in my mind... I have used the Maxisys elite to program new modules directly from mercedes that AVDI wouldn't do... So my question is, what are you going to be doing??? making keys, or programming modules and diagnostics?? Making keys, I would go with the cheapest solution out there... If I was diagnoising and programming modules and making keys, AVDI hands down... Just programming modules and diagnostics, Autel... I haven't used diagspeed, so I really can't comment on that, but friends who have it, love it... So there you have it... this info and $5.00 will get you a small coffee at starbucks.... Just remember though, if you walk into a shop and the mechanic only has one screwdriver and one wrench, don't you kinda wonder what he or she is going to do when they face a problem that isn't covered by that screwdriver or wrench??? I have a bunch of programmers because they all have there strengths and weakness's... I would hate to be 45 minutes from the shop and not have a programmer I need....

@@mahmoudhantouli5434 of course AVDI will do that.... If you can read the data from the old it is real easy, if you can't, then read data from cluster and write CS, MAC, and PIN to ECM and then sync and you are good.. Or, read the data from the old with the breakout box and cable and the ECU reading program, then write to the new/used ECM..
