MK3 SNES, patched. 

In MK3, there were no 'human' ninja to begin with and so, Noob Saibot is in fact, a Kano colored black, not a hacked character. If you do not believe this, play either this version or the other ports and the arcade version as well. Noob Saibot is actually fought in 'Noob's Dorfen' via, a special Kombat Code.' Noob's Dorfen is really just that arena you saw, but without the wall, making him nearly invisible as his paletee clashes with the background.
