A quick DIY on how to adjust your mk6 (2009-2014) Volkswagen speedometer to compensate for larger/small wheels and tires. For more information check out the link below. www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/spe...
He just cuts right to it. Perfect. I don't need to know all about theory of the wheel, with weight on it, or at the tyre pressure, or the circumference math. If my odo is just reading a little high, ok, let do this to calm him down a little.
i was looking for this for a while. my q3 2016 has been incorrectly set and i hope i can fix it with this. i feel that when i drive the mileage is increasing faster than it should literally. i did order larger wheels when i ordered the car from audi and i wonder if they just left it set with 18 inches vs my current stock wheels of 19 inches.
Why when i go and select 09. Cent. Elec. > Coding 07 i have nothing to select in the drop down menu under the text "Please write down the original values...etc" I have some module but its like inactive and i am unable to click and select it. Did i do something wrong ?
Amazing man! this is just what i wanted to know, i am buying a used tachometer with color display and the same is from a Tiguan with bigger foots and the speedmeter face has 240 km/h and mine is 280 km/h, so i can adjust putting in the long coding the number 6 because probably it will be came with 4 or something right? thanks you i will be subscribing to your channel for sure! BTW i am also upload videos to my channel. One of most popular is the DIY for retrofitting the GLI seats on the jetta Sedan enabling heater and all the stuffs leaving the same as EOM. Its in Spanish but i will be uploading an English version shortly. thanks again
Hello 👋. I have Polo 6C, which shows the same as here. I have basically upgraded from 185/60R15 to 205/55R16. The odometer is under reading too much compared to before. What would you suggest?
Thanks Jim. This was really helpful after I put bigger wheels on my T6. Do you know where the setting is, in VCDS, to turn off the gear shift recommendations please?
@@NOTSOSLIMJIM Thanks for the quick reply. I will try there. I also found a video that shows it for a Skoda, so will see if the setting is in the same place. Stands a chance! Cheers!
the digital speedo will slower then the gauge. Volkswagen purposely designed it to do that so people wouldn't speed. this is just how to adjust them to be closer to the correct speed.
Thanks for posting this. The best I could get on my 2010 B6 Passat Wagon was about 0.5 MPH closer to actual. Reading just shy of 3 MPH faster than GPS.
wbwip I had this issue too and I'm stock specs on wheels 225/45/r18....when I get to as little as 40 mph. My analog is 1 mph higher . Digital would be saying 39
I have a 2017 beetle and when i go to the same secion i have everything the same the only difference is mine says k number 1-8 would you think its the same thing?
Ralphymay5 I believe so. If it's canbus you can. If it's pre canbus you will need to go into coding and change numbers for correct tire height to revs per mile.
