Q - Smoovin Decat - via RU-vid
Hello mr Paul I just wondered if there is a common ish fault for stalling on a mk7 gti 2013. In my case it's a uk car. But it's stalled after start a few times recently but fine to drive...then just yesterday it stalled during driving slow in a car park...it's had recent plugs recent coils. I saw a RU-vid video of a cam sensor above the cam chain ?

Thanks Paul! I only recently had a fault light appear after waiting Ages for this to happen so I could store a code. I’ll get back with the answer after a trip to the specialist. 👌🏽

Same thing happened to my mk7 gti. It was the cam shaft position sensor

Did it happen when it was warm? Mine starts and instantly dies when it’s warm. Like, at 190F and up. But as soon as it hits 185F it starts fine.

@@fortimusprime it would die when the engine was cold, but when it was warm it would run rough and sound like a diesel

I do have cam sensor fault codes. The car when its cold starts stuttering and then stalls quickly after. Display says D1 > D (repeat) and then stalls. This only happens when driving very slowly or having to brake and come to a stop. If the car is warmed up, its doesnt stall, but the rpm has a chance to go down when stationairy. Or just act weird. Car drives perfect, but its just very dangerous of my car stalling when on a busy road because i had to brake…

My 2015 mk7 gti makes a very loud clacking sound. No codes on the dash. When accelerating the noise happens. When at idle sometimes it makes the noise. When revving the engine it idles rough before dying

Recently I heard that the mk 7.5 golf models in Europe would be fitted with a gpf or ppf. Was this also fitted to the mk 7.5 models in the USA; and is this the reason the mk 7.5 Gti will not dsg Fart ? Or does the 7 speed replacing the 6 speed have something to do with it ? Thanks.

Hello Paul. Same issue around 2000-3000 rpm. If i put i need more acceleration abrubt stalling than OK. No fault codes but recent one saying misfire on cylınder 3. All ignition coils and sparrk plugs changed original before. Cylınder 3 is 8.3 bar others above 10 bars. One say it can be ECU. I dont know cannot pinpoint the error. Do you have any opinion?

Can the radiator outlet sensor reading -48c cause stalling? HPFP jumps to 2000psi and it starts to stall.

hey there I have a 2013 mk6 gti with a stage 2 apr tune, lately every time I come to a stop and when i release my break it feels like its going to stall. could it be a fuel filter issue? When I bought it my mechanic recommended to replace it but that was a year ago, and im getting about 17 mpg city. with a heavy foot. or getting the could it be a vacuum leak, please help, thank you. also Ive been getting the p2237 code for my bank 1 o2 sensor, so not sure where to go with this, thank you!

Hi guys, I'm having issues with my mk7 gti dsg 2017. Car struggles to start and when it does start it revs between 2500 - 3000 rpms. When you clear fault codes car idles fine and drives fine for estimated amount of 5km and then stalls and switches off. Then when driving the cluster shows dsg is going retard meaning when you brake as you drive it switches 4 d 4 d drop to 3 revs jump drop below 1000 rpm and only fault code is sensor A low voltage

Anyone experience this [ CBFA 2.0T TSI Audi A3 2008 ]: After car is hot, and has been turned on and off when doing errands, I'll go to turn it on and it stalls out just before it turns over. This may happen 1 -5 times in a row before the car actually start. Other than that, there is no driving issues with the car--it runs perfect. It's spent about a month in the shop with the VW mechanic still not able to figure out what the issue is. No CEL and fuel system is new from tank to injectors. New plugs and coils (all OE/ OEM). Crank sensor is new and water pump/ sensor is new. Everything reads in spec. according the the Tech.
