Idk if you guys are from money but you seem out of touch and I could of made your car actually stand out with about 700 dollars less...throwing on decals, pinstriping, and oem+ factory options doesn't "make your car stand out" it makes your car look like a higher trim model but still stock....full maxton splitter, side skirt, wing, diffuser, and lowering springs would have actually made you stand out and cost alot less...good video for inspiration though, definitely liking the pinstripin 👍
Hey how are those Ed's Replica lights holding up? I've been thinking of buying a pair for a while now. Also, how is the visibility at night with them? And did you get the optional HID kit?
They are holding up well a year and 3 months later. I have a clear bra on them and the lighting still works great. I’m not running the HID kit, still the factory halogen bulbs.
Hey guys I bought the exact same car you have but obviously not as cool looking at yours yet haha my question is when you installed the Ed’s replicas did that void your warranty? I also heard that it can blow a fuse because it requires more power that the oem halogen package.
Thank you! No power plans anytime soon because I’d have to upgrade the stock clutch and that’s expensive. If I had the DSG then I would for sure do some power stuff. For now, probably just suspension and cosmetic stuff.
That's great but I feel like a majority of your mods you got were over priced. I'm sure my mods are cheaper considering I have a 01 GTI 2.8L Vr6 but I got so many headlight mods, tail light mods and interior mods for half the price. I dunno, maybe because California is so expensive 😂😂 but I bet I could spend 2k and get the same shit, if not more that look and do the same thing.
The price of mods generally scales with the price of the platform. Older GTI’s are simply cheaper to mod. Plus the people who make aftermarket mk7 lights price them to high hell.
