Be honest, he's gonna travel and farm like 5 majors in between if he can 😂 Same guy who lost to majors early in the year to literally go win 2 more right after.
Gosh I think Nairo would be such a good commentator, his knowledge of the game is second to none. I stopped watching competitive smash a long time ago but I’m so invested when Nairo is commentating
To be fair I want to give proto one more crack at Leo same with esam I’ll explain esam and tweek later But proto is one of 3 to be plus in there recent matches and that includes a finals win after a reset that takes a lot of clutch . Esam showing and consistency. Not there but he can break down the game and his counter play one he knows you is promising along with the obvi plus record Tweek is according to Leo even today his toughest opp he would rather not play the most the record overall in Leo favor but the last 3 matches go to tweek once to eliminate Leo for 6th I believe This is to say I’m glad he took his spot by force now finish these battles he rather not bother with
@@timadethis honestly, Esam doesn't even believe he can keep that up... So idk, bro wins against top 5 to lose to Marss or instead just a random pro player who isn't a top player lol. Tweek? I think they'll just always go tic for tac, and it's a wonderful thing. Proto and maybe Gluto are the only 2 I wanna see more against Leo of. Especially Proto. Him and Light are my 2 and 3 in any order and I don't know where to place Acola right now. (I also hear Proto is way lower in Japan right now than he is internationally? Cracked region lol). Then there's Tea, Gluto, Shuton, etc I think Nairo said it about characters (25 top 10) but I feel like it's 15 top 5 players depending on what day it is. Only constant imo is Leo being the top 1. Guy basically go wins a different major for every major he loses, it's crazy.
@@timadethis Tweek is weird to get a an idea of what he will do because sometimes he feels like the best player in the world and others he just deflates and loses games randomly. And I was one of the ones that was convinced he was going to be the one in Leo's situation when he basically took 6 games in a row from Leo in one of the first majors of ultimate.
I think Byleth was fine, he didn't run into anyone that gave Byleth much difficulty or that Joker would have been strongly better against. Except Dabuz's Min Min of course, which he used Joker for.
Easily one of the top Smash Tournaments not just in 2022 but in all of Smash Ultimates lifespan. Thanks for recording your live reaction off stream Nairo!
I’m certain there are some very big teams scouting Kurama right now after that performance. I’m really looking forward to seeing his future tournaments
Bro nairo was right about the block under the stage saving Acola from a spike, it was a stone block that he placed before losing his prev stock, and stone takes a WHILE to disintegrate on its own. Looking closely you can see both the smoke from the knockback trajectory coming from offstage, and the block break just after. He may have been saved by a second of time
I wish that becoming an official commentator at these events was in the cards for Nairo. He brings so much to the table. Compared to the official commentators, he knows the game better, he knows what it’s like to play at a top level, his game knowledge is obscene, and he’s so much funnier. When Kurama backthrew at centerstage and Nairo said with complete confidence “that won’t kill,” before the launch even started, and then seconds later you hear both commentators gasping in surprise… that kind of thing is a good example of what I mean. The official commentators just don’t even hold a candle to the insight and understanding Nairo can bring when discussing a match.
I just realized how I only watch smash tournaments when Nairo is commentating on it. I learn so much from Nairo and am attending local smash tournaments, because of Nairo. He's just so cool, and actually really good at smash still.
This really helpful because I hangout with my friends all on the Third day and missed everything so thanks Nairo! (Tried to avoid much spoilers as possibles before this)
the same block closest to the stage, from 33:40, IS what saved Acola's a** from that fair spike! Nairo has some great eyes to have seen that live but he failed to rewind far enough for his own proof. if he'd rewound to 33:49 he would have had his evidence :) excellent commentary and game knowledge from Nairo!! enjoyed this whole vid
@@GawainSSB But you didn’t say fast or rushdown. You said combo heavy. Probably best to leave those in if that’s what you mean. Regardless, I still think you’re wrong. Execution heavy versions of the archetype aren’t quite as good for competitive due to inconsistency but they’re still good. Easy ones have been meta dominant since forever.
@@j.prt.979 maybe but I'm lazy and the guy I replied to already said it. Figured it's obvious enough. I never said they're bad, I'm just refuting that they're winning events disproportionately (OP topic).
Damn, I didnt know Kurama is Prodigy, I would have been more hypped when I saw the live stream. Always wanted to see a rematch, and didnt know I was seeing it 😅
Your commentary is so insightful all of the time. I love hearing your thoughts on matchups and strategies for dealing with certain characters in different scenarios. I definitely think I have improved as a player even on a more casual, friendlies level just by watching your content and listening to you talk. You should 100% do this more in the future if you can’t on stream.
T1 probably be like to MkLeo (Leo legit channeled his inner Doomguy for Ludwig Invitational): "Against all the evil that Smash can conjure...all the wickedness that the competitive scene can produce...we will send unto them, only you...RIP AND TEAR. UNTIL IT IS DONE."
Your character knowledge makes you extra entertaining to watch. You know what percent will kill while someone is putting their string together and say when a different attack would have killed instead.
I don't get how Leo played like this in late 2022 and then forgot how to play for an entire year four months after. Leo's Byleth here feels like a speed-up version of Leo's Byleth from now.
Leo is the undisputed goat. I follow a bunch of games competitive scene and nobody is as dominant as mkleo. I personally think smash is one of the hardest games too which makes it more impressive. Amazing instincts spacing and reads
I know all the hype from Leo just mashing the tournament but who's talking about Kurama on third, he was fairly amazing and made me remember that Mario was a character in smash
