Hey dude, thanks! Why did you got to run some of these games with poor controls? In my case here, i simply loved the game from day 1 and never had an issue with the controls, its hard and takes time to get used to it, but thats its charming feature.
@@sagatruns7098 same reason as you! Games I played a lot as a kid and the controls never bothered me because of that! Something about it has a certain charm, like you said. I look forward to more speedruns/gaming things you do! Feel free to hit me up if you want to discuss some notorious speedruns!
Always glad to see another man of culture. The last stage is really something, a maze that the key items must be put in a specific order, with the super difficult guards. Cant blame you hahaha
Yeah nah fellas I fuckin loved this game too. I traded WCW vs NWO (I think it was that one anyway. It was for sure a WCW game made by THQ on the N64 though) for it. I never beat it. Shit I never made it farther than the level where you're in what looks to be a sewer lol but yeah this game fuckin enthralled my 16 year old self haha.
I bought mine for my 35th birthday this year and OMG I forget how insanely hard this game is but it's still one of my most favorite games. I also bought MK Trilogy this year as well. Bought it for the PS1.
Amazing run man. Being able to navigate those levels in certain parts. Takes a good amount of practice. I never understood why they never continued the MKM series as like a side game to the main series. Where you could play through a characters lore.
Ahem, did you ever play this garbage of game????? The only good thing about it, is sub zero, every other aspect just sucks.... no story, gameplay shit, too hard and extremly unfair but again, if it was gameplay wise good then im sure people would like it like dark souls but this piece of shit here... no thx.. so to answer, it was a shit game and it flopped hard, thats why those idiots scrapped it!
@stuartmacher6031 it flopped because it was insanely hard and had many design problems. Most kids could not even go through the wind temple stupid platforms 😂
I had this on N64 back in the day. When we were kids we'd just play the hell out of what we had. I learned to like this game. It has some cool backgrounds and its hard as hell.
I actually played this as a kid, when it came out on the OG ps1. Game was so rad, with the live action story lines. I mean, an MK platformer was one of the best ideas game makers could produce
I remember renting this game a bunch of times from a little video store in my hometown. I was probably 8 or 9, playing on the N64... I've never seen beyond level 3 before today 😆 loved this speedrun man, excellent choice.
I always love this game so much. I don't really care about the turning mechanic and cheesy dialog, but I grew up with this game. I have it on both the N64 and PSONE! Truly amazing that you sped run this game due to its difficulty in the bridge of lost souls!
You see kids even a Master Ninja falls to his death sometimes...@22:34 Lol jkjk Truly masterful, I remember it taking me days to beat this game as a kid. Well done!!
I don't watch speedrun vids but this game kicked my ass when i was a kid so seeing now somebody kickin it ass and speedrunning it also, deserves all the respect. 🙌
This video happened to pop up in my feed and my goodness it gave me so much anxiety. I could never get very far on the N64 version an I just watched you speed run it lol. Could never do this. Good job
Man as a 11 yr old kid, Sub zero was one of my all time fav character. At the same time i liked and hated this game so much. I remember beating it twice on hard, this game was Dark souls of my childhood. :P
Nice!👍 This game is so creepy actually, and the music only brightens this feeling 🥶😱💀 Edit: if only based on this they'd make a movie, it would be one hell of a movie about Sub Zero, going against monks, deadly traps and such
Man I remember playing this game in the late 90s. I remember how proud I was when I figured out on my own how to defeat shinnok. You have to grab the medallion from him before you can do damage.
I played this when it first came out. It was on ps1 if im not mistaken. The same game existed for N64 i think but with a huge cost. In ps1 the cutscenes was video while in n64 was only pictures (due to data capacity of the medium?).
Now that you reminded me that this game exists, there are several (PS2?) story based games that I would have liked to see expanded upon… I forget the names these days, but my best mental imagery is almost like a mortal kombat platformer like god of war. They were still very fun games.
I don't know... watching someone this skilled running this game makes it look half decent. I always felt like this game was trash when I was a kid, but now I can sort of appreciate it, thank you.
Thanks, i guess when you master the controls, AI and the level desgin, 90% of the jankiness/unfairness of this game is gone. Maybe if it wasnt a side project worked along with MK4 it could have been polished better
