The irony of seeing Quan Chi. the servant and his master Shinnok going head to head. These were some good matches, nice to see these two variations that don't get used much in action. The banter between you two was really funny too.
Thanks for the vid, I really enjoyed it! I would also like to see you two playing characters that you (and other people) consider "bad" or "low-tier", or just not your mains. It's always interesting to learn new things about different matchups.
So technical on your plays, i like it! You analysed it live like your commentator job at esl! I'm from NA and i prefer you far beyond the NA version if i can say...
I enjoyed this little set. I'd love to see more match ups between you two that are hardly ever seen on streams or w/e, just to see them played out. The commentary from you two was entertaining as well and playful. :) Great vid guys!
You should do a Ketchup vs Mustard series where you use characters you are unfamiliar with, without much practice. I personally really enjoy seeing you two compete against each other. That or do second mains and so on (Kenshi vs Kano).
He's really not that hard I just picked him up like last week and I already get a lot of wins with him, I think he's a high tier character. Warlock is okay, but if you learn and master sorcerer or summoner you'll be really hard to beat.
If you have trouble fighting up close use Kenshi or Quan Chi, Kenshi has so many moves to zone his opponent out and Quan Chi is God-like in mkx. Quan Chi can out zone anybody in mkx with his sorcerer variation. Even up close Quan Chi's back+2 has really good range on it, it also is an overhead that can start combos.
I enjoyed the vid! I am currently getting into MKX myself, played ~10 hours so far. Have not yet decided which character I want to focus on the most, I really like Kotal Kahn, Kung Jin, Cassie Cage, Kitana... but there are also a lot of characters that I haven't even played yet (first MK I ever bought).
Violet Gun Gaming I've played the classics, MKX is going to be my first new MK game when it comes out on 360, who would you recommend? I was thinking Takeda because he looks cool and his combos look simple enough
The Flash Gamer I tried Takeda as well because I watched a couple of tournaments and stuff before I bought the game, and I thought he looked cool. But I just was not satisfied with him. In comparison to my Kotal Kahn, I feel like I have to work much harder with Takeda and do much less damage. But nonetheless, I like his style, so if you feel like playing him, just do it. I personally prefer War God Kotal Kahn over every other character now, just so much fun IMO. xD
Violet Gun Gaming yeah, spammers online could be a problem though. I actually was thinking Kotal too. He's cool looking but I'd prefer Sun/Blood God over War God because of looks, I might look up some videos and see will he fit my playstyle :)
I don't have this game but mortal ok bat players get excited from no where lmao ... like u could do a 30% combo and it be silent and someone do a little random jump and everyone is like omg no punish!! Lmao sometimes I'm confused
I wish my brother enjoyed fighting games enough to actually understand them. He is military though so the only games he plays are FPS...and I still beat him at them. Of course, I suck at fighting games :)
Shinnok is a mediocre at best character but I didn't know that version was like that. I thought shinnok's only decent version was bone shaper; since he gets high/low mixups, an unblockable special that reaches full screen, he gets a lot of strings and he has a 50/50 vortex.
ThatSkaterJustice The best variation is hands down imposter. He has the best vortex, damage and a teleport. Now that shinnok has b3, bone shaper doesn't have the absolute advantage mixups either. IMO the only reason to play bone shaper is for the strings that start off of f4. Nerco shinnok is the safest since he can cancel into flick, and it gives him access to a good chip game. I think bone shaper and necro are sort of close in the tiers, with bone shaper maybe being a little better, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that imposter is the best. Id even say that he's high teir overall in the game.
PNDKetchup Sir, thank you so much for representing Shinnok in a much better light in this community. I don't know if you main Shinnok or not but your videos are a shining beacon of what Shinnok can do. I love your usage of the devil's flick when away and the 50/50s you use is really good.
You can be a pro using anyone. Ferra/Torr is actually a good character but no one really uses him. If you learn the matchups you can pick Goro and beat Kung Jin.
