As you pointed out, issue with TikToks and Shorts are that they never go into too much nuance. It's simplified and that is probably why support players who have not played the game enough think that they should be extremely aggressive to the point where the Kiriko stays flanking without realising that their hog has been anti'd and slept!
I definitely remember the ow 1 "let them sleep and time the hit to the end" So I tested it and its the same speed.... is this some fever dream that never really existed????
@@PK-uj8mpnow I’m wondering how long they’ve patched it already🤔🤔 Thought it still existed- granted, I’m not an Ana player. Only play her in death match and all the duration of sleep I use to t-bag🫠🤣
Moira Tip number 2: use your ultimate when: - you can easily win a team fight keeping everyone alive, specialty ur tank. - overtime and your team / enemy's team are low - save your tank - your other support died and you need to hold tight your healing
Mercy tip: you don't need to face the person you're healing, and you get the information of their health on your scream, so face to every teammate's direction and see who needs healing. Stay alive as much as possible, if you know certain character is going to die even if you pocket it, let him die and run away to regroup without feeding. You can move while rezzing, so try to get cover and fly away or just super jump the person you revived lol Try not to feed, just regroup. Think wisely. You're important (as much as the other supports) just know youte comp is right for you to play Mercy. If it is not, go with other main healer you know how to play and when you feel confident to play her, swap it
that last part yessss. people need to stop one tricking the pretty angel lady, or anyone in general, pls theres not even that many support heroes in the first place so knowing how to use at least THREE efficiently would make playing the game less stressful not only for they themselves but for people they play with too 💀 💀
So what I'm getting from the Rank 1 support's tips is that if your allies are above 1hp you're doing your bit. Great that leaves me more biotic darts to shoot at the other team. If a teammate dies, hey, even more so.
I seriously feel like the miss information about licio's "100% pick rate" is the reason people insta lock him in ranked but then they're confused why everyone dying when they have the "most heals" 🤣
YES there are so many people that think meta is the only way to play when they don’t even understand how to play meta. Its like if you first are getting into overwatch and look at tier lists like ‘oh those are the good people to play!’ When in reality you might get infinitely more value in a character in a ‘d tier’ etc
@@geraltofrivia4651 literally, first character I played was mercey and I got slammed 🤣 after trying all the heros in the game I'm now a support main with and idea of how every role effects a fight
People forget that Lucio only has a 100% pick rate in OWL because speed boost as a tool is much better the more aware your team is and how your team work together.
@@thiefpotato2759 This is really important. I've heard OWL described as a 'completely different game' and it makes perfect sense. They're literally premade stacks playing against premade stacks. They plan out their moves and strategies before the game even starts. They train and rehearse and scrim to solidify their team work and perfect whatever it is they are doing. They're not playing the same Overwatch we are when we are playing ladder games. We're never going to have that kind of synergy, so some of the stuff they're doing just will not work out here.
All tips could be substituted with one thing: Play to your win condition. - If your win condition is farming Kitsune and rushing down the enemy team, then heal bot for that. - If your win condition is Helping put pressure on that Pharmercy, then open up some good angles and help make sure they can't recover for free without being under pressure. - If your win condition is being alive in a sustain war instead of going for early frags, then that's what you should value above all else. - If this, that, and the other.. Learn what your primary win condition is, adapt your primary playstyle accordingly. Make tactical adjustments on the fly as needed.
The Ana sleep thing was patched waaay before OW2. It's like the Reaper reload animation cancel, people used to talk so much about those secret tricks that even after patch I still see a lot of people doing it.
Btw ML7 the guy talking about Ana’s sleep waking up animation taking longer actually was right but worded it wrong. The wake-up animation for sleep if you shoot them is actually faster than if the sleep lets out naturally. If you play enough Ana you can wait out the sleep and start shooting them immediately after sleep ends so that the enemies have less time to react.
So if my teammates don't die, they will live?! WHAT!!! This is a game changer for me, I finally know how to climb to grandmaster. Bless you and the creator of the first tiktok.
Apparently Lucio, mercy and brig are flex supports. Something I “learned”. Edit: I got downvoted about 11 times on Reddit for saying this. People said that the last time mercy was a main support was in 2017.
@@necr0zza227 Google is free, Flex supports typically output the most raw healing, and can often heal more than one teammate at a time. Main supports can put out short bursts of healing to multiple targets, but their main effectiveness mainly comes from their non-healing utility
@@VinylsDead lol mercy is not a flex support then unless she ults and even then it can still bug and not heal everyone around. Brig healing also requires her to do dmg etc. Lucio moira yeah brig too and bap are the flex support if that
I will say in lower ranks no one understands how to retreat. So even when I call out a speed boost for retreating, that just signals to my team to push and die.
bro, owl is now like what? 2 months? back PLEASE why are they all still saying "play this because it was used by the absolute best players in the world 2 months ago"?
Nah only wall jump on release if you don't really play lucio that much and just want to flex to him. Lateskim and 1tick are both super useful Wall riding techs that you can't do with this setting enabled, and they're necessary for things like the Lijang Gardens roll-out.
I wish that is what happened when I called out a sleeping enemy, I'm lucky if my other support is there to double team them with me lol. Although it is nice when you do get most of if not the entire team together to collectively delete someone who dove you 🤣🤣
the "use offensive nades" is annoying to me sometimes I'm "healboting" and its taking everything I can do to keep my team alive, nonstop shooting my tank and still its not enough so I have to keep chugging in nades and it will still be barely enough to keep them above critical. Sometimes that's just the way it is... the enemy is focusing hard and actually shooting and you HAVE to heal with no downtime. But then, despite all that, ppl will still complain that they never see the enemy naded like bruh.... either I nade the enemy and you all die or I keep you alive smh the enemy doing more dmg cause they hit shots isn't my fault lmao
Nading enemy team descreases pressure for your team since it makes it harder for the enemy to peak with low health and your team should take less damage right?
"Healer" I switched to bap to go dps bap at the same time as Moira went full dps Moira bc we were getting rolled and dps had a combined 4 picks between them (tank had 6). We ended up holding the last point During intermission 1 dps says "I'm gonna need my healers to heal" to which we both reply simultaneously "I'm gonna need my dps to dps" We ended up pushing to 3 with a combined 10 kills from our dps. Sorry bud, wheb you're having such a bad game (both of you) that dps'ing as support becomes more gooder for the team than 1:1 or 2:1 that's a you issue and why we are called support not healers 😎
Sometimes on support you just gotta be the win condition. I've had plenty of games on Ana where my DPS just aren't getting the job done, or my tank is off in narnia doing who knows what. At that point I'm willing to sacrifice healing to focus on killing and it usually brings the game back to our favor.
I was told that and thing before, if you let them begin the wakeup animation the oneshot combo is true. But if you wake them up early it's not. But I guess I was lied too?
12:48 honestly as much as I believe you shouldn’t healbot in lower rank games it feels like you need to, everyone in plat/diamond just stand out in the middle of everything and expects to be at full health the entire fight. The last game I played put me off for the rest of this season. Kid died in the first 15 seconds of the game because instead of just brawling with the tank he took a 1v1 and died. Immediately switches to soldier and starts spamming the chat with “I need healing”/“come to me for healing”. This is with the fact that the only people getting stomped on at this point was the dps, both tanks were actually having an entertaining fight and all the supports are pretty much putting up the same stats only difference is I can’t put too much damage out because I keep having to leave the fight to babysit the two dps players getting smacked in their 1v1s, we end up getting steamrolled and the dps words of advice were “stop doing dps and heal” meanwhile I’m sitting here with sub 1k damage and over 4K heals in the short as round. Long story short we lose the game and the kid starts harassing me in messages for the rest of the night. Word to the low rank supports out there, if you’re going to try and play how supports are meant to you gotta start muting chat and leaving voice comms, also be prepared for your dps to throw
Hey love the content. A few things a lot of players forget is that playing style differs as you climb in rank. another is that players who make these vids could be playing a lot of other games, for example i play dota and overwatch and supporting in the two games differs drastically where dota favors sacrificing a support in a fight over a carry overwatch can sometimes be thew other way around. Another small thing i feel may affect the way support players play in overwatch is that in dota if you play support really well its easy to get mvp or a honorable mention. That always pushes my to use all my support skills to the max in dota so that at the end of the match i can show i played my support role well. as mostly Moira and Mercy player i find it really hard to get mvp even when i do play well in a match, so maybe if overwatch can implement some sort of way to give supports that played really well the mvp it might push support players to use more of their support skills and play support roles better instead of trying to dps Moira for example to try and steal the mvp.
also maybe sitting down with people that play other games that have a support role and seeing how those support roles differ from game to game because of game mechanics. i think this could help people understand why support roles differ from game to game and why some people prefer to call supports healers instead of support asnd help them rectify their support mistakes much easier.
It's just odd how overwatch has flown under the radar for years and now with ow2 we get a bunch of these teenagers making "educational videos" with either information that's been known for years or is just straight up wrong.
As a gold support main, I actually try my best to balance my playstayle between healboting and supporting. It's very easy to do with my main Moira. But I actually main dps at the moment, playing support on soloQ is miserable rn.
If you're a dps main try Bap. He is great for not only providing great heals but getting good damage in. I'm an Ana main and even I out pace the dps sometimes and on average just below them ...unless we have a really talented dps player on the team then of course they go ham. But you do have to make plays on your own to climb the ranks. You should always be looking for the gaps where you feel comfortable your team will survive the next second or two and use that time to get your own damage in.
2:10 Think he means hitscan but overall he is wrong if your target is up close. Unscoped shots don't waste time on the scope AND unscope animation. Sure a quick scope greatly reduces that time but if you don't need to do it why do it? It's like driving stick shift in heavy traffic. Not fun, cut out unnecessary movement for faster shots (if you can). Obviously if the target is far away than quick scope/hard scope is the way to go.
Yo ML, lucio main 'er. Lemme tell you sumin. YOURE WRONG G. you ABSOLUTELY *NEED* to have wall jump on release OFF. (At least if you wanna get better at lucio) I forget the name fo this tech specifically, i believe is called "late skim" or sumin ratha. Anyways, the motion is ingraved into erry legendary lucio. (Go ask eskay if you don believe me) You can dely your jump off of a wall bya second and this makes many rollouts possible. This let's you control how far each jump will go and be more precise and allow access to better routes. Ex:Lligang Tower garden Boop You wouldn't believe how much of a difference this makes. Thank you fo yo time n hava good one 🙏💛
It's funny this misconception of console T500 being diamond PC is going rampant. Every vod I've ever seen of ex console players climbing and burning through their old elo from console. Like imagine being diamond with a mouse lmao, its literally the most broken fps tool next to 5k a month hacks
Yo, I don't know if you'll see this but why is this on a second channel? I mean even though it's not gameplay its still very high quality content, and I think tiktok reactions in general get a lot of views, so it's kinda weird to limit your audience this way
diamond and master have plat aim but better game sense. Mechanical skill is only gonna take u to like high plat maybe low diamond with op heroes. After that you gotta learn every other aspect of the game
Unfortunately, the world's attention span has become so small that it's not easy to fit viable detailed tips on such an intricate game into a 1-minute vertical video.
