I love Kruk and Kuip, but Kuip's call of the Hunter Pence base clearing knuckleball is one of his worst of all time. Can't really blame him though, everyone who saw that live was just as dumbfounded as he was.
3:25 Fernando Tatis hitting 2 grand slams in the same inning. On April 23 2021, exactly 22 years after his father hit two grand slams in one inning, Tatís Jr. hit two home runs off of Clayton Kershaw. Both homers took place at the same venue where Tatís' father made history as well.
I just got into playing the show and learned about him cuz he’s on the cover I knew he was a JR but never heard of his dad before this video that’s awesome
Wow that’s like One in a Trillion to the Trillionth power odds. Or maybe that family just has good genes for playing baseball. Griffey and Griffey junior going back to back yard, Manning brothers both winning multiple Super Bowls, and many other examples of families achieving amazing feats can be found. It is impressive, but I hate all this hyperbole of “Once in a Lifetime” or “Billion to One odds.”
@@Shadow-hw3kn News flash: Local baseball cookie hit by ball 3 times in one half-inning. Suspected to be an assassination effort. Culprit is still unknown
@@justaplanet now a days there is like a genocide on janitorial careers. Alot of private companies are paying 10 bucks for what used to be a 24 an hour job
@@Alexander-ry6ri The sad thing is the fact that it's a job everyone doesn't want to do but someone’s gotta do it. Once someone actually applies for it, everyone seems to take them for granted as if they are lower than them. It's a damn shame really.
@Dillan Ponis I expect ejection for the ruination of $90 dollar hot dog and fries. With the new rules in the pipeline to acquiesce to the commercial aspects of the game, it is only a matter of time.
Hitting the ball into the dugout repeatedly was beyond funny, the guys reaction plus the angels reactions was priceless. I needed that laugh (Edit) thank you guys for so many likes! Mind blown!
I liked when the pizza falls on the lady in front of him. She picks it up knocking the empty plate off herself, then takes a quick glance behind her, then casually drops the pizza to the ground. #Cold
@@Golfzilla1961 Props to the woman who got pizza all over her for being chill as hell about it though. In the next clip she was just hanging out. Any girl I know would of lost their minds 😅😅
Grounds crewman: “There’s a little gap on the bottom of the wall here” Other Grounds Crewman: “That’s alright. What are the chances a ball is gonna be hit there?”
Dear Robert, the statement is the punchline to an old joke about baseball statistics, no hate intended. Line 1 reads who had the most home runs?Line 2 reads who had the most base hits? then the little known statistic about who got hit with the most balls in the face. ..
@@robertfalk3767 Because she is a woman who has survived for nearly 40 years in the most ruthless industry on the planet, while doing and saying whatever the hell she wanted. Only (heterosexual) men are allowed to leave the kitchen and live their lives the way they want.
Two athletes you don't want to be: -Austin Collie when Peyton Manning throws you the ball -Stephen Piscotty when a baseball is thrown in your direction
Dave Winfield once killed a bird that he threw at. He thought it would fly away, but he apparently threw at the one bird with no sense of self preservation.
@@TheVertigo686 It really wont. The odds on that were astronomical. Hitting a home-run to the same spot, twice in one game, isn't THAT unlikely. Considering these aren't amateurs and all..... Same deal with 2 Grand Slams in an innings. Sure, it's unlikely, but hitting a bird, in full flight, without knowing where the bird is coming from/when.... You could try that for the rest of your life and never come close to hitting it.
The one with the Angels dugout at 1:36 was priceless 😆 First hit: whoa, okay that can happen 2nd hit: WHOA, okay we gotta be careful 3rd hit: JESUS, okay we all gotta cramp together on the other side (batter: oops) 4th hit: 🤣
yes and no - he thought it was caught, and when a drive is caught, players don't book it all the way to first. But yeah, he should have made sure it was caught before stopping.
Samuel Pearlman I get that. But the time he took to spin around and throw his arms up would’ve been enough. Not necessarily saying book it but if he just stayed in the motion of going to first it would’ve been more than enough to get there
I'll never forget watching Fernando Tatis hit 2 grand slams in the same inning when i was younger. The fact that he also did this off the same pitcher makes the feat even more mind blowing. Don't expect i'll ever see this happen again in my lifetime.
so nobody's gonna talk about the same guy with the fries spilling them trying to catch the foul? the announcer is literally like, yeah we're in a simulation
Pretty great that on the anniversary of Tatis hitting his two grand slam inning, his son hit two homers. They weren't slams or in the same inning, but still funny that it happened.
My favorite one is a reporter interviewing a Baseball player. Then out of Nowhere a ball is coming for her at 90mph. The guy without even looking, catches the ball next to her face with his bare hands. That was super hero levels of epic. but don't remember who it was or where I saw it (I don't usually watch sports)
0:15 pretty much every plate appearance and baserunning play I made when I played in middle/high school I have no idea why the ball hit me so much. It made actually playing the game very difficult because you already have a moderate amount of fear of the ball when you're a teenager, but imagine that fear compounded because it's actually justified.
