I’ll never forget a guy named Reggie Abercrombie hit one at Cincinnati to left so far that it landed about 4 or 5 rows short of clearing the entire stadium. Maybe 2004?
Some people don't keep track of umps through each season and it shows. Umps have a collective 94% accuracy rating on calls for the 2024 season up to this point. Umpire score cards are posted every game as well to the public. Umpires are graded every game on how they control, call, and preserve the game through the whole nine innings. The better teh score card is at the end of the season determines which umps go to the post season.
