Myself and the other Astros fans used to call him 'Lights Out Lidge' because whenever he came out of the pen it was practically a guarantee that the game was already over and in 2005 he literally was that he finished the season with 42 saves and the Astros had a regular season record of 85-1 in leading after 8 innings. When he went to Philly I was crushed because he was my favorite pitcher on that team and when I saw him get back to his old 2005 'Lights out' self in '08 I pretty much knew that the Phillies would win it all and I was so happy they did and that my favorite closer got a ring.

As someone who didn't own a wide-screen, HDTV until 2013, I find these sports playoff videos really fun to watch. I forgot that as far back as 2006, lots of playoff games switched to 16x9, Digital signals. I remember watching this on a 20" RCA CRT set. The croping of the graphics on my old set went unnoticed then. Looking back now, it's funny to see how Network video editors used to format their screen graphics to accommodate 4x3 Standard Definition TV.

I watched the last 3 innings a few days later on TV. It was tied, so it was like a 3 inning game, which of course the Phillies won! But what a postseason. Victorinos Grand Slam off Sabathia, Stairs and Victorino hitting the 2 two run home runs when down to the dodgers. Good times!

I watched that series, Buck talked more about what the Rays were doing wrong than what the Phillies we’re doing right.

V i v i i l rockXrock... ©2014
