So many of these had batters that were 0-3 or 0-4 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Some were working on full counts or 2 strikes, some were in extra innings to tie or win the game. You can't write it any better
That Ryan Spilborghs HR against the Giants was epic, he ran like there was no tomorrow if he doesn't make to home plate in 3.5 secs. I think it is even fastest that any inside-the-park HR by Buxton or Hamilton together.
Tom Hamilton puts every other announcer to shame by a mile. I just wish I could hear him call a World Series-winning homer soon. I miss listening to Indians games on the radio.
I am going to say this now as a dallas native and am a big fan of all pro sports teams that live in dallas, the texas rangers have, had, and currently possess bad luck when it comes to grand-slam home runs.
I think the Red Sox management watched this video and picked up as many of these guys as they could. We got Kiké Hernandez, Hunter Renfroe, and Marwin Gonzalez!
BaseballFreak Films but if he didn’t hit a GS and the Red Sox doesn’t score that inning, they would only be leading 2 runs. You can definitely understand the psychological blow to the Astros and their fan base when they go from down 2 to down 6 in a playoff game.
The fun thing watching this back now is knowing all the ones that happened in extra innings didn’t need Manfred’s stupid runner at second to generate offense. Those baserunners were purely organic.
Did anyone else notice that when the Chw and the sea were playing when a guy went for the ball he pushed over a little kid. Go back to see what I’m talking about. Time 6:00 ish
Jack Davis Doesn’t matter. Youngest player EVER to hit a postseason grand slam, first career grand slam, first grand slam in a postseason at SunTrust, AND first postseason homer at SunTrust.
