I’ve always been a Nike shoe guy, but I bought my first pair of New Balances this year because if Nike feels like they can go cheap on pro uniforms, how are they treating their regular products?

Sweet. We ask for the Brodie take, we get the Brodie take. Appreciate it! The ASG move back to team jerseys was the smartest thing MLB could have done. There wasn't one ASG jersey that looked good. Low contrast ratio, bizarre colour schemes, and a general disjointed feeling. The 2021 jerseys in particular were nightmare-inducing. So yeah, we needed the team jerseys. Thank you, MLB.

And I say 'self-inflicted' because no one -- I repeat -- _no one_ asked for these ridiculous changes to the uniforms in the first place but we all know why they went ahead and made them: Money. It’s unfathomable that Majestic isn’t licensed to make jerseys and t-shirts anymore. The quality of the main baseball uniform was thicker, yeah, but quality stitching and overall good fit, plus they also manufactured lighter material fan jerseys, typically the pinstriped ones. So glad I still have a Baltimore tee.

AMEN! Baseball unlike the other pro teams, is one of traditions. I'm still upset over the DH BUT keeping players in their team uniforms for the All Star Game makes sense. When expansion comes to 32 teams, KEEP both leagues in place.

Great news!!! However Im 'not buying any new MLB jerseys until 2026. I've bought a few this year from Fanatics, but ALL of them have been 2022-'23 spec with the larger name & the Batterman MLB logo up near the "collar".

I haven't bought an MLB jersey since the change. Got some good discounts on the old design.

I’m really happy that they are going back to home and road team uniforms for the all star game. My favorite part of the all star game that mlb did differently than any other league you see all the teams uniforms on one field that night.

Hey Brodie, didn’t fanatics buy majestic? If so, why don’t they just go back to the old majestic jerseys and then just throw a Nike logo on them haha?

I don't know it for a fact, however waiting a year just means MLB has a ton of the Vaping issue uniforms. So the inventory needs to be purged first before the order is restored. At least they could be transparent. MLB has more black eyes over this and the Oakland/Sacramento fiasco.

Minor detail, but I hope they improve the look of jerseys with piping. The sleeve cuff piping is much thicker than the piping down the middle. Also the MLB logo under the piping on the back looks terrible.

The new uniforms were basically the Crowdstrike debacle for MLB, but only on the PR front. It’s like they had no quality check.

Nike innovated something that didn't need to be innovated. They thought they could do with the MLB what they do with the University of Oregon football team.

PLease move that NIKE emblem from the front of jerseys to the back or sleeve. Hopefully, it's more than the sleeve patched that get embroidered. I'd like to see embroidery back on the front as well such as the Cardinals on the bat or the Braves ectect..

Rob Manfred absolutely owns this debacle. It’s because he has such a disrespect for fans and players that he knows best. Worst commissioner ever. How he’s allowed John Fisher to destroy the A’s is another example. Under Bud Selig they would have forced Fisher to sell and found a better owner.

Jerseys in all major league sports are garbage as long as they have Ads on them.

The look is one thing, but I finaly got my hands on a "new" jersey. The material from the old jerseys are so different, they feel so much lighter and cheaper. I can see this as a benefit to the players, but as a fan you need that jersey to last for years and years. The new jerseys feel like they will fall apart in a couple of years.

Let me open with this, Brodie, I love my baseball jerseys and I did buy 2 this year when I visited games at Citi Field and Dodger Stadium. Nike did a lousy job. Period. Majestic made great jerseys when when they had the contract. I have two pre-2024 MLB Nike jerseys and they are better, but still inferior to Majestic. In fact, I bought Nike baseball jerseys when my alma mater won the NCAA College World Series (Tennessee), while the quality was not as high as the MLB jerseys, they were also less than half the price. Since I am a 54 year old baseball fan, not a player, my opinions are less important than players, but I would love to see MLB and Nike offer us fans a "coupon" to use toward a new jersey in 2025 as a way to make things right. Sports merchandise was better when fanatics did not have a monopoly on it. I got a Packers Jayden Reed jersey through Fanatics and the stitching and overall quality was awful

So can we trade in the 2024 jerseys if we bought one, to the newer ones? Why would we have bad jerseys for a season and not be able to trade it in for the better jersey?

Let’s call a spade a spade here this was nothing more than a cost cutting exercise form Nike and Fanatics. Tailoring pants that’s costs money, making letters a numbers smaller that’s saves more materials and reduces cost, making crappy patches from vinyl and not stitching them that’s a massive cost cut, making the material thinner means less used and more savings. Nothing more than the greed of Nike, Fanatics and their investor the MLB. The whole goal is to reduce their cost per unit and increase the cost to the consumer the fan on every unit. This is why Fanatics make such crap clothes and jerseys to rip people off. They’re not a clothing company they’re a shipping company. They have no place making apparel other than to rip people off with subpar items. They own betting companies not to help the community but to bleed money from people any way they can. But hey as long as lil Mikey Rubin can have his white patties that’s all that matters right?

Speaking of fanatics now I don't know for sure if this is a thing i keep trying to find out but I heard from a couple friends of mine who live in Canada are saying that Canadian sellers can't sell the fanatics hockey jerseys to the states now like I said I don't know this for sure but it definitely made me think now it could be and I hope it is just bs but I want to find information on if this has any legs or not because there's alot of people who buy their hockey jerseys from different stores in Canada I hope this is all pure rumor and innuendo

For some reason, people want to absolve Fanatics from holding any responsibility for this. I assure you while it may have been Nike’s specs, Fanatics had the ultimate choice to let a sub-par product out its door. QC is a big deal in manufacturing and Fanatics should know this. Nike specs, Fanatics approval of the final product. Stop ignoring that.
