I was an MLB mascot for 5 seasons, I can tell you the kind of sh*t I was able to get away with and the result was people laughing was priceless. The entire time I'm performing I have the biggest smile on my face. It's also the best feeling ever to have (little) kids run up to you calling your (mascot) name and full sprint run into you for the biggest hug they can give bigger even than one they give to their parents. All the selfies people want, everywhere I'd go there'd be a line of people following me waiting for me to stop to high five, hug, selfie, autograph or whatever. When kids got an autograph it was like they just met Mickey Mouse. It's stupidly hot wearing it, I have 4-5 FULL change of clothes every game cause they're so wet. Day games were the worst. One thing I loved doing was before my first appearance of the game I'd walk around the stadium to get a feel for the crowd and nobody had any idea who I was. Oh, and I had lots of fun with pretty girls. I had a skit where if I liked her, I'd check their left hand for a ring, if I didn't see one I'd act so shocked and excited, pointing to it and when she or someone says "yeah not married!" I'd drop to one knee to "propose", then get up, grab her hand and take her for a walk away from her group as I'm waving bye. Never failed.
@@ismaelmacias4858 yeah actually, most guys who've been doing it for decades at least make north of $80k, I didn't do it for that long so I was paid much less. Plus you get free food from the team (team pre-game and post game meals), lots of merch, get to hang out with and get to know the players and coaches, free tickets not just to games but other events, and see a lot of things the general public doesn't.
I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan, so I'm pretty much obligated to say that Fredbird is my favorite MLB mascot, but, as crazy as he is from what I've witnessed in-person, I've never seen any videos of him doing anything like what Orbit or the Phanatic have done. Those two are complete nuts and I LOVE it! If anyone has any really funny videos of Fredbird, post them please! I was a victim of a couple of things he did a couple years ago. I won't go into specific detail, but the second thing he did scared me so bad that I'm still surprised I didn't actually have a heart attack. It sure was racing, though. Crazy bird!
Ten years later,Why are your kids green?Well, when I went to a Phillies game,I met this guy who loved to dance and well, one thing led to another and, well, green kids.Good thing I didn't go to a Flyers game or the kids would all have scruffy beards.
“Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17 ERV - Turn to Christ and repent 💕
