Best decision they ever made. All this talk about getting the younger fans interested again. Why the f did they ever get rid of this legendary theme. Glad it’s been back. And there’s been some legendary post season moments since it’s been back.

I first time heard this theme back in 2001 when the Angels faced the powerhouse Mariners. The theme was so awesome that I got into the MLB. The funny part was that I read baseball books including the baseball rule book as a kid. I was so happy the Angels won the World Series a year later at that time while the MLB on Fox themes were played during those times.

The team in 2002 had the players from the previous season, and they stayed with their core and signed good free agents. The farm system was really good too. K-Rod was fun to watch and he made a big difference in the postseason. I like his celebrations and his fiery spirit. A 20-year-old doesn't do that, and that's what veterans do. The 2002 World Series had a great Fox telecast and it seems, it doesn't compare to today's broadcasts. Even baseball games were televised on national TV at 1 pm. That's a great time to watch baseball, and even better when I see the Angels on MLB on Fox during the regular season. I always like to see K-Rod pitch in 2002 and he looked like a mean starting pitcher with his wind-up. However, he became the closer instead to replace Troy Percival, who is also a vital pitcher for the 2002 championship squad. I honestly miss the 2002 MLB on Fox telecasts and those World Series games. It was amazing and memorable.

@billny33 -- i totally agree. It makes me tear my hair out that they got rid of this for baseball. I don't like baseball at all, but I associate the MLB with this. So unfortunate that they aren't using this for the LAD vs HOU world series! Even the NHL theme by fox is GREAT.

I agree. I like their NFL theme a lot, but I think they should even get rid if that. They have used it since 1994, the premier season of the NFL on Fox, and I feel like they should eventually come up with a new one. Plus, this theme just sounds like baseball.
