When Dietrich was with the Marlins, and Archer with the Rays, Chris had an over celebration after striking him out. There was bad blood before they ended up on the Reds/Pirates.

That “revenge home run” of Jose Fernandez was not a revenge home run actually those two clips were three years apart. The pitch where it got thrown behind him was 3 years after the homer

Damn...baseball with Jose Fernandez in it was a lot of fun. Such a pure talent and seemed to enjoy the game like we did when we were kids. Having Dietrich on my team has been a blast too - guy has an incredible personality and sense of humor. It's a shame that the "unwritten rules" still apply when something happens against your team. I follow both the Marlins and Reds...Dietrich had every reason to want revenge on Archer and it was sweet when he got it. Not sure there are many pitchers more hypocritical than the bicep kissing Archer, or hell, for that matter the culture of the Pirates. No wonder they've led the universe in hitting batters for most of Hurdles reign.

In Dietrich’s situation, I always thought it’d be the greatest thing in the world to sprint around the bases like you were going for a little league home run if they didn’t like how slow you took prior. Or the Madbum to Muncy situation. Just start sprinting and slide into home. I may make a comeback just so I can do just that.

When I played, a century or so ago, if I thought/knew a pitcher threw at me, the next time I faced him I made sure my bat slipped out of my hands...straight at the pitcher's mound and aimed at the pitcher's feet.. After a few of those, I didn't get thrown at much.
