The Stadium Creator feature in MLB The Show 21 could be an absolute game changer. One of the most promising aspects is the ability to share the ballparks you've created with others in the community.
We'll still trying to get a gauge on some of the details, but while we're waiting on the Deep Dive that shows all or most of the options, let's talk about 15 of the classic ballparks we're hoping to see the community create and share.
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to Operation Sports.

The Vet was not the same as 3 Rivers, Riverfront, and it's round cousins. First of all, it was not round. It was an octorad - a kind of flattened oval. With it's roll-back stands, fans were closer to the action for both baseball and football. It was also significant larger, holding up to 67,000 for baseball and 72,000 for football.

@BluesImprov 3 года назад
The park you're referring to with the "arches" all around was NOT the "first" Busch Stadium. . .The first one was originally named Sportsmans Park and changed to Busch Stadium in 1953 when the brewery bought the Cardinals. That stadium had the same "classic park" atmosphere as Tiger Stadium and Ebbets Field and was torn down in 1966. 10 World Series were played in that classic old Sportsmans Park/Busch Stadium. . .The true "first" Busch Stadium!!!

The "57,000-seat" Candlestick Park was after it was expanded in the early 1970s so the 49ers could move there from old Kezar Stadium. I think you can see some of the expansion in progress at 6:32. How about the original "baseball-only" design? (And IIRC, the fences were brought in because part of the renovation included putting in Astroturf, but too many balls were bouncing just short of the warning track and over the fence for ground rule doubles)

Best believe that will be THE FIRST ballpark that I'm creating....and I won't even need pictures for reference! The dope part is that you can still see a baseball game at that site. I had fun too!! GREAT video my friend. Great minds think alike. You were narrating pretty damn near all my thoughts and feelings about old ballparks they need to have in MLB the Show already. They also need the classic version of Wrigley Field in there. Without all these jumbo-trons and LED scoreboards everywhere. The original layout, when baseball was baseball at Wrigley Field. With the shiny, glittery Torco sign on the rooftop out on Sheffield Avenue. With those high chain-link fences behind, atop of the bleachers, before they doubled up the bleachers. They also need to make the 7th inning stretch able to be heard in full, with the option of pressing X for those who want to by pass it, because i go through the trouble of putting the MP3s on Sounds Of The Show for Harry Caray singing the stretch at Wrigley, and Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" at Fenway, and you barely even get to hear like four seconds of it before they cut away to the bottom of the inning?!! Also.. no sausage race when playing Milwaukee?? wtf?? No Presidents race in D.C.?? MVP Baseball 2005 with Manny Ramirez on the cover was like the ultimate last best game for franchise mode lovers. They would show the sausages racing around the warning track when in Milwaukee if you stopped in the middle of play and didn't press pause and had left the game running for a while. At least give us that San Diego Studios?! And you could also bring your manager out to argue calls in that MVP game, and clear the benches too lol MLB the Show is LACKING hardcore! Lol And YES put ALL of the historic ballplayers in the video game. Nobody really cares if they took steroids or gambled. People are constantly creating and downloading those players anyways, proof that nobody cares except self claimed saints and purists lol.

The original version of the Shea Stadium would also be a fantastic recreation. Opened to coincide with the 1964 World's Fair, it sported orange and blue steel panels representative of the team colors and the colors of the World Fair. It was originally built to be a multi-purpose stadium (the Jets played there until they moved to the Meadowlands in NJ) but was retrofitted to be baseball-only after the Jets moved out. Home of the 1969 Miracle Mets World Champions and the 1969 Superbowl Champion Jets, Shea Stadium also housed the largest scoreboard in baseball at the time with the large Rheingold Beer logo on top along with the team logo and Longines clock. Mets centerfielder Tommie Agree was the only player to have ever hit a home run to the upper deck at Shea and that was marked by a sign at the location. As a kid (and adult) who attended Shea, I can tell you that the upper deck was indeed very "upper." The home run was an estimated 505 feet. An annoying aspect of the stadium back then was the once-in-a-while interruptions of planes flying out of, or into nearby LaGuardia Airport. Players have been known to ask for time during noisy overhead flights. That would be a fun, unique quirk to add to the stadium recreation audio effects if possible.

I don’t know if they’ve been in earlier versions, but I’d like to see some ballparks that were proposed, yet never built. Like the domed successor to Ebbets field, or the scrapped Yankee Stadium replacement from the early 2000’s that had a retractable roof. I can look at scrapped designs like those for hours. I really enjoyed this video. I’d definitely enjoy hearing you talk about ballparks more in the future.

If it can be done, seeing someone recreate the original Angels Stadium (long before a bunch of renovations) would be cool. Especially if it'd have the giant "A with a halo" scoreboard.

Nice to see someone like me who likes stadiums and is probably about my age. I grew up a Pirates fan starting around 1976 or so. Dave Parker was my favorite player and I loved Three Rivers Stadium. Yeah, it was a cookie cutter dual-purpose stadium like The Vet and Riverfront, but it just brings back good memories. And the Steelers. So many good viewing moments. Excellent job on this video.

I was 4 years old when I attended my first game at 3RS. My initial critique of the stadium was very poor up until the end, but I do remember accidentally nailing the Parrot in the leg with my bat on free bat and ball day. I got lost in a sea of black and gold and my brother yanked from my shirt to save me from some creep (who I later found out was the Bucs secondary mascot). Later that night, my bro and I were playing baseball in the house with out bats and ball and broke the TV. My mom was so pissed she took our bats, put our names on them and locked them up. I currently have that same bat in my storage locker and it had to be glued and taped back together, but it's a personal momento and is 2nd of my prized childhood possessions.

FANTASTIC VIDEO! Thanks for taking me down memory lane. It took me 6 years and I made it to every park with my last one being Candlestick in 91. Of course I’m missing a bunch now. I have been to every park you mentioned except the Met and of course Ebbets Field. I was not a fan of the Vet, 3 Rivers, River Front or old Bush Stadium (not in video). No character and all cookie cutters. No doubt amazing historical events happened in those parks.

You need to mention old Cleveland Stadium. Lots of history there. I saw just as many concerts there as ball games. Pink Floyd, Springsteen, The Who, the stones. I have to wonder what it would have been like had it just been maintained. It was always dirty with what came out of the factories. Even when I saw the All Star Game there in 1981 it was filthy. The men’s room just had a trough that ran down the wall. It had wooden seats that sometimes were just rotted from the elements ;a coat of paint may have prevented that) or simply missing altogether. Of course it had plenty of obstructed seats as poles were often blocking the view in the back of both upper and lower decks. At 80,000 seats the place often looked empty with a half house of 49,000. Its time had come and gone by the time I first went there in the seventies. The last Browns game saw fans with screwdrivers and hammers removing souvenirs. Several fires were started inside with the wooden seats being used as burning material. As bad as it was I still have romantic memories of the old dump.
