I had a great day of fishing on Truman Lake with Drew Sagely. This was the MLF BFL stop number 4 in the Ozark Division. Truman Lake was about 8 feet high and falling during this MLF BFL bass tournament.

Someone invited all those other species to a Bass Tournament. Hooking a turtle is such a disappointment, you set the hook and it feels big, but then you notice there are no head shakes, and no run, and you can barely move it, then you begin to suspect, it's not a Bass. Great recap, and a much better understanding of what those finishing positions could really mean, truly only separated by ounces.

Love the recap. I think it’s a cool touch to the videos! Are you really that sold on the bait fuel? I have been testing with it and am not sold on it being any better then the bang sprays that I already use. This could just be that I have a ton of confidence in the bang and it’s always good for a chuckle when I crop dust the co angler with the garlic in the wind!

Thanks Kermit. I honestly don’t know if Bait Fuel is any better than Bang but I do believe it works. Crop dusting the guy in the back is classic. I’ve been fogged a few times in the past. The smell sticks with you for a few days 😂😂

Gabe, I took a look at my June calendar and starting on 11 June (which was 91 degrees) the rest of the entire month was HOT. I actually suffered heat exhaustion fishing a 97 degree day on 16 June. Standing on a deck in the sun can really be stressful so kudos for sticking it out. Good to hear that big worms were working. Truman is a huge lake with lots of rocks and trees so good job finding the fish. Stay safe in your future tournaments, Don

Thanks Don. I drink a ton of fluids while I'm fishing this time of year. The sun hoodie keeps my arms, head and neck protected and sun gloves are a big help. The humidity is the toughest part. I'll do it as long as I can. Thanks for checking out the show buddy.

Did you get extra points for the grand slam variety. Great video. Where was tournament out of. Enjoyed the recap and info on bait selection. Hard to hang in there with the heat. Makes it tough. Tnx for sharing

No extra points from MLF. LOL The tournament was out of Long Shoal Marina. I'm tired of the heat.
