The number of times she mentions some variation of “it’s too expensive” as a negative story we came up with in childhood is wild. If a potential customer ghosted you after you told them the price, it’s logical to think the price was too high for them, but NO. It’s your childhood trauma talking. 🙅‍♀️🙄

The fact that she likens saying no to a hun to conflict and ghosting as a means of avoiding conflict tells me that she doesn't take no for an answer. If she did accept it, there would be no conflict and people wouldn't need to ghost to avoid harassment.

The negative stories bit is crazy. Some of those “negative” things are actually legit reasons for not wanting to buy the product. If someone wants to get it cheaper, or find an alternative, or can’t afford it, etc., that’s not anything against you as the seller, that’s just their preference. I work at a music school, and I had a potential student pick a different school that was more convenient and cheaper for her to get to, even though we charged the same price for lessons. That has nothing to do with me. That wasn’t a negative story I told myself. It was a fact of the situation. And as Erin says, facts are not attacks. Mixing negative self-talk with realistic reasons why someone might not want to buy from you is gross!

Ugh, no amount of healing trauma is going to help someone be successful in their MLM. There are tons of positive benefits that healing trauma can bring, but people should get help from qualified professionals when it comes to healing. Getting yelled at by Brittany Anderson is not therapy. And no amount of healing or therapy is going to change the fact that 99% of people won't reach success in an mlm. It's not a mindset problem.

as a real life therapist, i especially CANNOT stand her in this video!!! what she’s describing is an actual skill from DBT/CBT and can be very helpful in preventing negative thought spirals and regulating emotions! Contrary to licensed PROFESSIONALS, Mrs Ma’am does NOT have the science, education, training to explain how/why this skill works AND she’s using it to keep ppl trapped in an MLM; that’s so dangerous just, eww

TOTALLY understand what you’re saying about having to step away from PD because it was so mixed up with MLM. I felt that way. I also did that with my eating disorder. I had to completely let go of all my food rules and allow ALL foods and honor my cravings and hunger to heal. Now years later, I’m able to pursue different health habits but I’m coming from a HEALTHY PLACE, not a disordered one ❤

I do love the irony of the chosen plant. A pathos is a plant that thrives on neglect and grows long vines. A happy pathos is one that requires constant trimming because it starts to outgrow its space. The fact that hers is short means it was just recently purchased, or that it is not thriving.

aloe and moisturize your skin more than what you normally would. Ive also heard that black tea on a towel (cooled obviously ) helps take the heat and sting out of a sunburn

I always wonder why they (specifically her company) have to "train" so often? Calls, Rooms, webinars, conferences. Multiple times a week, even a day! What could they talk about all that time? Sure positive mindset is important when selling. You shouldn't talk yourself out of a sale due to negative thinking, but you also can't talk facts out of existence with positive thinking. If someone has valid reasons not to want to buy from you, those are facts. It doesn't mean you can't discuss their concerns further and provide them additional information if you think it would help, but you also can't take it to the point of being annoying. The decision lies with them, and all the positive thinking in the world doesn't change that.

Why do MLM women, only, from what I've seen, use the phrase, 'Drop a ___ in the chat, if you can relate!' or similar? Is this just a lazy way to get engagement, so it's a go-to phrase that uplines teach their downlines? And maybe an easy way to attempt to appear to give genuine engagement to their fellow MLM-er's, when it's not? I love how she starts off nice, and slowly builds to yelling at us like we're idiots.

This sounds weird, but for the sun burn go and find some burn cream for horses. I had a really nasty one on my back as a kid that I couldn't even wear a shirt it hurt so bad, and my mom got that cream from a farmer friend. that stuff worked miracles.

She’s referencing some concepts from stuff like radical acceptance and legitimate therapy practices, but trying to warp it around the industry. If my friend doesn’t respond to my text for a few days, they might not be ghosting me. They might have been busy, or read my text and gotten distracted and forgot to reply. In that case, my internal stories about the situation probably aren’t true. But that doesn’t apply in mlm. If the stranger I’m trying to coerce into my downline ghosts me, it’s almost certainly because of me and my behavior. I hate that capitalism in general loves to try to force therapeutic practices and healing into the service of doing more labor and keeping the cycle going 🙄
