Our first experience welcoming a multilevel marketing person into our first home! Hope you like this story time experience! I'm glad I was able to see through the marketing ploys used that day cause her efforts and my grandmas glowing opinion of the magic vacuum might have been enough to tip the scale. I mean really, it seems like it is basically a shop vac with water in it. I also don't really know how comfortable I'm meant to be with vacuuming my whole house with this device and cleaning it before using it to filter the air in my home. I definitely feel more comfortable having different devices for the different purposes. As a chronic illness sufferer I really would not be capable of lugging a shop vac full of water or partly full of water through my house regularly to clean my house and the having to clean the canister out. That looks so exhausting, even the people that are trying to make it look easy make it look too heavy and difficult for me.
If you're in this mlm, or others, there is no need to attack me over this. It is OK. This is creative criticism based on my personal experience with having someone come into my home.
Also I spent the day sweating in the heat wave after this, went swimming as our local area is reopening. Let me tell you, eye shadow primer and setting spray can be amazing. My eye makeup did not move despite the water features effort at the pool. I am shocked. I wish I'd known about this stuff in my early 20's. No links or anything just a note lol.
Sorry for the windy day, I'm looking into trying out a Lavalier microphone another channel uses. I'll keep you updated on that in future videos as I do enjoy filming outside especially when the weather is so nice.

I dealt with Rainbow vacuum a very long time ago in 1977, I fell for it because, I was young and stupid trying to support a friend that was working for them at the time. They were overpriced then and I think that $3,700 dollars is overprice now in 2024. Back in the day They had these high pressured demonstrations based on a pyramid marketing and sales system. I also suspect they still do that too. It is sad because just last week I purchased a brand new Frigidaire stainless steel gas stove, a hood, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and full installation for under the price of one Rainbow vacuum cleaner. I guess if you have allergies or COPD this might be the right vacuum system for you, however their are other water filtration vacuum systems for around $800 dollars.

Seeing this super late, but I bought one about a year ago. Did a demo for a family member who worked there for a free rainmate ( brought it with them for the demo so I did get it) I love the vacuum and kept it. We did our demos for their program until my husband went to work for them. The whole thing is MLM-like (i’d disagree to a certain extent because the product actually works) BUT working for them is kinda like a cult. The entire group has to be able to see your location. You have to answer the phone anytime they call. If they want you to ride with them instead of running your own demo, you have to. And, if you didn’t sell the most last month then you’re at the bottom of the list to get assigned to new demos. The payout for each sale also depends on the persons credit. My husband made a sale once and the people had terrible credit so he made $100. But if good credit, he made like $400. DO NOT work for them. Also, I still love the vacuum and use it all the time for everything. Just wanted to throw that in about working there lol

You missed the entire point. Filters clog, they no longer actually vacuum, and they are blowing. She was showing you how many times you could vacuum and have your filter clog. That’s to show you how many times you could vacuum with your filtered vacuum and not truly be cleaning. Rainbow doesn’t use filters, so it all goes in the water. Instead of staying in your vacuum filter and blowing out the next time you use it. Also, the job is not to insult you, it’s to show you what your vacuum isn’t doing.

Thank you for your comment. If she hadn't gotten tired of running the rainbow vacuum over the section of rug we would have been there all night. The filters clearly showed what the rainbow vacuum was incapable of doing despite claiming it could. I assure you I did not miss the point our sales person was making. Maybe when you sell rainbow vacuums that's the point you try to make, our sales person was expressing was was left behind after our vacuum was used on our rug. If the company would like to make a clear point during this part of their presentation perhaps they need to create a way to better monitor their independent sales contractors and what they say during their in home presentations. Have a peaceful day.

This was my exact thought the entire video... You missed the whole thing of water being the filter unlike a dry filter system. Once dirt get wet it can't blow back out and be redistributed back into your air causing you to dust more often.. Wet dirt can't fly. I am a major asthmatic and my rainbow has changed my life! Not only that dry filter systems don't kill dust mites they are actually a breeding ground for bacteria and dust mites. Sound like to me you didn't have a proper demonstration for the concept to actually click. Not to mention your grandma is proof that no other vacuum lasts as long as the rainbow 20 + years and now the newest model is certified by the asthma and allergy foundation to clean your air! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3GpA6Pai0Ts.html

I basically told the woman to get out as soon as they got to the $3,000 price (or whatever it was). Like. I live in a condo. I don’t need a $3,000 vacuum.

Good job! I wish. I think I was just so taken aback by the whole situation and so trying to not insult anyone cause they really seemed to buy into the whole mlm culture. I'm so glad I asked how many passes the rainbow vacuum would take to show the carpet clean. You'd think with a $3,000 cleaning machine it would be two passes tops. How long was their presentation?

@@maggiemicdup oh god. It was forever. I think it was a solid couple hours. And I just couldn’t handle it after a while so my diplomatic nature was done by the time they got to the price.

I really wonder how often this whole thing works and people buy the vacuum. It was so long here too. It was already so late at night and then the person stayed so long. It was exhausting.

I just purchased one this week. So I will keep everyone updated with how great or poorly it clean. . . My husband is the reason we purchased it. He is going to work for the company long enough to pay for ours for free. . . Stay tuned bc in 6months I’ll comment again about my experience.

There is tons of information from people that sell the rainbow that say how great it is. The problem with reviews, that come from people that benefit from people buying into the rainbow system, are that they have reason to skew their reviews for the better to increase their potential gains. There are amazing vacuums on the market that don't require the buyer to also sign up to sell/exploit their loved ones and aquaintences for multilevel marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, mlms, direct marketing sales, etc (whatever they're calling these days).
@auntiesocialt7305

You can't return it after 3 days, which I didn't know that until it was too late. They make it seem so easy but it's just not. They tried to get me to work for them to pay mine off and I told them just cause I got screwed doesn't mean I'm willing to do that to my friends and family.
@maggiemicdup
@maggiemicdup 2 года назад
@@auntiesocialt7305 I'm so glad you're able to make the decision to not pass that hardship on. I'm sorry you got roped in with a promise of easy return if not wanted. The loophole that appears to get used is the people selling are independent sales people not representatives of the company itself so its not something they can control.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us greatly appreciated but here's the thing when it comes to vacuums there is no perfect vacuum because I was scammed into one of these because I have family members who have rainbow vacuums particularly my aunt has a rainbow she bought in 1975 she was in Germany at the time living and I always love to use her rainbow because I was always so shocked on how dirty the water basin was at that time but the older rainbows is the ones that work more efficient these newer style rainbows from the E-Series all the way on up have a helper filter on the back of them they don't really tell you about and just like a filter on a bagless vacuum whether it be upright or canister or stick vac I robot whatever they clog over time and they lose air flow which is needed to keep the vacuum working at its Max performance so they don't tell you a lot of these things and then you get these things home and you start using them of course everything works well when it's out of the box because it's brand new I have a rainbow and a Kirby so I know what I'm saying and they just don't work the way that they do and that's any vacuum they don't work as well as they do when you first get them out of the box so over time you start losing suction you start losing air flow belts break brush rollers need to be replaced bags filters all of that needs to be exposed of and bought brand new so with any vacuum on the market there is a catch even to a $59 Bissell that's sold at Walmart I think it's the Bissell power Force or the power force helix all of them require maintenance there's no perfect vacuum out here in fact even if you got over back in the day the '70s the 80s the 90s vacuums were built even the old phantom even those back in the day needed to be maintenance done on so there's no perfect vacuum so I always tell people don't go and get into bankruptcy trying to buy expensive vacuums because they're not needed they all pretty much do the same even when you going to these vacuum cleaner sale shops they'll get you to buy a expensive vacuum but then when you get home like I said everything works good when it's new out of the box but over time that's when you start noticing things so don't go and get into that trying to buy expensive vacuums they all pretty much clean the same they use bells and features on them to try to win people over and those little coffee filters like I said earlier they clog so you lose cleaning ability and clog filters in the vacuum will cause your vacuum to overheat and not work anymore so there is a pro and a con with a lot of these machines thank you so much

Thank you for sharing your experience! And thank you for not trying to get others to buy in to cover you buying in! It's difficult because for every one person trying to share their experiences like me there is probably 10 people trying to sell the rainbow "system" putting up a false positive review video. It's also so difficult when it's your own family selling because you want to support them. The amount of people that were once my trusted adults (when I was a child) in my life that are now multilevel marketing representatives trying to recruit me is shocking. I have been learning to take time sniffing them out before buying in but it is hard. Absolutely every vacuum will need maintenance, every appliance even. We have a great little shop in town that repairs vacuums so you don't have to keep buying a new one everytime they break. They're lovely.

I've done a lot of research on this product. the closed room statistics on the air purifying feature of the new rainbow are equivalent to that of a desk top small air purifier yikes.

I could see that being accurate. That's a big tub of water to haul around for less than premium air quality improvement.

And they have wonderful cheap air purifiers you got shark they make them Dyson make some new wave which they have one is called the new way oxy pure air purifier system Bissell makes them Hoover makes them oreck makes them a lot of the commercial brand janitorial companies make them so there's a lot of different air purifiers out here that works and again that rainbow has a healthy filter on the back because everything you suck up in the rainbow is not water soluble so it goes out of the back and it helps a filter keeps it inside of the machine to keep it from coming out in to the air so there's a lot of gimmicks that they use to get people to buy those and I wish that I saw your video before I went and got one so people that are reading this comment please beware before you go out and get yourself into debt buying vacuum cleaners watch this young lady's video it'll change your mind forever

They definitely didn't say anything about the potential of a filter on the rainbow. I will definitely stick with. Less expensive air purifiers and such for my lifetime. I also have aquired a rheumatoid condition that would make lugging that very large basen of water around really difficult. Not to mention my own wedding dress was maybe 1/4 of the cost of a rainbow vacuum (and I thought it was overpriced). I think I've got a new mlm video idea

There are some fantastic antimlm content creators out there. I highly recomend checking out all sides before getting involved with any mlm or direct sales buisness. The people involved with these companies make what sound like great arguments but they're very one sided and it's hard to see the full picture until you truly look into impact these predatory business practices have on people's lives.

My only issue with this video is the time wasted. How long ddid she spend talking about her other vacuum, whether she still has it, drywall etc etc. I dont mind watching opinions but she couldve condensed her point to approx 3 mins without going into all the other fluff. She decided to do a video on a vacuum that she received a presentation of, 5 years earlier. waste of time
