(How's my oc?) Name: Moonbeam Gender: female Species: changling Bio: she is a changling who wishes she was born as a pony. She does all she can to integrate herself into pony culture and society. She has the ability to change into other living creatures but also she can change into things she draws. This was she isn't stealing someponys appearance. The problem is this ability is usable when wet so if she went into the rain she would turn back into her true appeance. (Excluding using actual ponys appearances) she ran away from home to live as a pony. Her brother is the only one who accepts her. Dislikes: water, cold weather/winter, bugs (they remind her of what she really is Likes: drawing, ponies, sweet things

My original character is still in development, but I will share what I have formed as of now. My OC's name is Eaves Dropper. She is a pegasus who was born in (and currently resides in) Cloudsdale, but she can often be found in Ponyville--usually visiting her young filly friend (whose name is still being decided). Eaves has loved detective stories from the beginning, and is now, in her late teenage years, the self-proclaimed "Great Detective of Ponyville" (even though, as stated above, she lives in Cloudsdale), which is why she is often referred to as "Sleuth" instead of her actual name. However, her skills of deduction are mediocre at best, so the citizens of Ponyville don't usually ring her up for their problems unless it's very small. Eaves' parents and colleagues in Cloudsdale don't exactly support her "career" choice, and quite often express their desire for her to start working in the Weather Factory. But Eaves finds weather maintenance a bore, and refuses to become a weather pony. She would rather live her child-like fantasy forever (even though, deep down, she knows she has to get serious about life at some point). Not a perfect backstory, but I'm working on it.

I'm planning on making a comic this year (mainly for my friends), and this video really helped me create and design my characters. Thanks :3

Great video and tips! Now I actually have a good backstory for my OC. Her name is Opal Shard, and she’s a pale blue earth pony with a darker blue mane. What makes her special is that even though she’s nothing but a regular earth pony, she was the only one brave and selfless enough to defend her home and her ponies from an alternate version of the Nightmare. She has friends who help her, but in the end she has to push herself alone to overcome her obstacles and fight for her beliefs. To show this, her cutie mark transforms from a regular opal stone to an opal with a sword in it, to represent her fighting spirit. Instead of becoming an alicorn from banishing the nightmare, she receives a powerful sword and decides to become a warrior, continuing to defend her home with the help of her loyal friends. So in conclusion, she’s an earth pony who’s mark and talent revolves around her fighting spirit and her selfless devotion for those she loves. The opal helps solidify her identity and her personality, and the sword represents her will to fight for what is right. Hope you like my OC. :)

can we back up a bit and realize that this was the first video and how solidly it was put together. Seeing how well this was put together makes be believe this wasn't your first video you've made.

I happen to have sort of two OCs, One is an Earth Pony called Winter Fields. as her name suggests, she has a knack for making plants grow quickly, especially in winter, so her Cutie mark is a snowflake with a blue cherry over it. My other OC is a pegasus by the name of Chrome Masquerade. His talent is related to the arts. he paints, sculpts, dances, sings, and especially acts. He discovered his talent when he needed to take two spots in a play. You could say that what started out as a bit part became a horse of another colour! Eh? Eh? *ahem* never mind. What makes these two so unique is that in a serious accident the were sent through a portal and merged somehow. Now they are one, but two.

I... kind of love this video. You covered all of the important points and explained them in a nice, welcoming manner. Good job! A great place to get an art commission is at a convention, you can really talk to the artist and work out a good idea. And most of them charge 10-15 bucks for a pencil or ink drawing, so it is very much worth it!

Don't know if I was the only one,but I was already drawing my OC when I was watching his and he said "DROP THAT PENCIL AND PAPER" I actually did that.

I have a oc for the book series called Warrior Cats her name is FlameClaw she is part kitty pet(cat owned by humans/twolegs) her mother is the leader of FireClan (FlameClaws clan) but her father is a kitty pet so she isn't really liked by all of the cats in her clan. She has friends though who are BrimbleFang(medicine cat),FireStrike(clan Deputy),LightStar(clan leader/her mother), Ned Ashpaw(FlameClaws apprentice). Sadly FlameClaws father died When she was only 6 moons old her father died in a war between FireClan and WaterClan(one of the other 3 clans). He was seriously injured his wound cut deep and was dangerously close to his heart. The medicine cat at the time couldn't get to him because she was busy helping other cats, so he died on the battlefield. FlameClaw is a very good warrior she has fought 2 or 3 fights with her clan. Despite her flaws FlameClaw stands tall and fights with pride. She hopes that one day her clan will tell stories of her success like they are doing in

I very VERY much enjoy your speaking style. It is super energetic and fluent but not too fast for people to understand. Also, your visuals are enjoyable- usually I end up listening to analysis while doing other things but yours is one of the ones I ended up watch-watching. Thirdly, love the OC. I don't really make mlp oc's anymore, but this also helped me on some tips how to make a good normal oc. Like the alicorn parts would mean, powerful, or princesses.

This is actually quite useful, even for the people who don't have an MLP OC. I am working with a character who is my own creation, but I'm struggling with his story, and trying to prevent him from being a garry-sue, because he's not. He's a mentally unstable wreck, just waiting to get his hands around someones throat. But what I'm struggling with is his sane moments in the story, and thats where I came to this. Tyandaga, you did a fantastic job with this video, especialy when people are still coming back to watch it. I am so glad to let you know that even people who aren't making an MLP 'OC' can use this video and it will still help them! Because my character is nothing from MLP, he's from a book I finished writing a while back, so it's like a side story. Anyhow, thank you for helping me with this, and I may just give you a shout out on my incredibly tiny channel. But for real, thanks.

I'm so glad I spent a lot of time on my OC. She may not be unique but I know that, at least, she's not an alicorn and not just a recolour or rip off

After Fallout Equestria.... I looked up UnderTale MLP And made my OC

My OC is called Dark Melody. She is what I call selfless. The reason for this is that she was basically born an alicorn but due to some pretty bad tension between her family and another powerful (not in equistria) royal family years later, she decided to give yo her horn an live the life of a pegasus for the lives of her family. In the eyes of her people, they thought of her as a weakling and kinda threw her out of her country. After being thrown out, she met a couple of odd ponies; Chysalis, Sombra, discord and even got to meet Princess Luna (after all, being part bat pony has some tolls on socialising with the 'sun ponies' aka the main six). When Luna was banished, Discord set in stone and Sombra destroyed in crystal, there was only Chysalis to look free the young, immortal Pegasus. Melody grew up to be a fighter, fast flyer, lover of music and somebody who was willing to do anything to get her friends back. Her disturbing connection (Celestia's words) to the dark side *sniggers* has made her a little temperamental. She acts quickly, get angry quickly and, somehow, falls in love quickly. All of these points made Celestia place Dark Melody under her wing, putting her into the royal guard program. After a thousand years of being a guard, she was a better pony (still having those flaws) but still mingled with the bat ponies and other creatures of the night. When Celestia sent Twilight Sparkle to Pony ville, she also sent Melody as well so then Luna had a friendly face. Melody didn't spend much time with Twilight but instead went to Vinyl Scratch and Octavia for some lesson in music. Turns out she's a better DJ then a pianist. When Twilight and the other five ponies went to free Luna, Melody followed them and spotted Nightmare Moon a couple of times but said nothing to the moving party. At the time of the activation of the Elements of Harmony, Melody's inner magic sparked up and created the seventh element, the element of selfishness. After the whole Luna is saved, Sombra is destroyed (again), Chrysalis is banished (surprise, surprise), Discord set free and Tirix sent to prison left a sad, rainbowfied pony with only a small amount of friends; Discord, Luna, Apple Jack, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia and Rainbow Dash. Her looks are pretty awesome (I think). Her coat is a dark grey with hooves that look like she just pleased into some paint, each hoof a different colour; redy-pink, yellow, turquoise and purple. Her wings are the same colour as her coat but each feather tip is coloured blue, yellow and redy-pink. Her mane is black with a rainbow (redy-pink, pastel orange, yellow, pastel green, pastel turquoise, almost cyan blue and a bright purple) streak. Her pin straight (like Pinkamenia but longer) mane covers up one of her magenta eyes. Her tail is the same as her mane but when it reaches the floor, it piles a bit. Her cutie mark is a gradient pink oval, with five wavy music bars that have seven dots on them to represent music notes and a black quaver (music not the crisp) on top. This is my OC! Well I don't have an MLP oc (never watched it), but I've got close to 10 different stories using oc's with my biggest one having been started a decade ago (and still going). I agree with all the points made in the video.

What drawing tablet you used to make your OC?

I'm thinking of drawing OCS for some of my friends. COZ some of them are lazy.

I'm currently working on a OC named Blue Moon for a story I'm starting to work on. She is a dark blue pegasus with a four leaf clover cutie mark representing her luck which she got only recently even though she is a full grown pony. Her luck is what helped me create her name as "once in a blue moon" is something that you here when something really rare occurs and could be considered lucky to have seen. While she is lucky she is somewhat naive and gets picked on a lot because of how long it took for her to get her cutie mark. The good luck can also be bad as the mistakes she makes (and she does make them) are usually more devastating then others and can usually hurt people more then she hopes.

I have had an oc idea for years now. And I'm just starting to actually get it all together. I have other ones but never got around to making a good backstory. Thank you for making this video. It has helped me so much ❤❤❤❤

I'd say that my OC goes out of the Mlp-verse, just a tad bit though. I can imagine that she would end up being mentioned and having a few words in an episode. Heck! I can imagine her being a pony that the main six would help with a friendship problem. I named her Scribble Way and she's a unicorn that lives in Canterlot, her destiny evolves around art it self. No, she isn't the next princess, nor is she related to any of the princesses or main characters of the show. She doesn't even know any of them personally. The closest thing Scribble has ever gotten to befriending one of the princesses is when she sketched out an idea for Princess Twilight's special window in the hall anonymously. Even I admit that my OC's design is actually pretty unusual. Her mane is a dark lavender with a few lines show the separation of hairs on it, along with her coat being a light grayish yellow. Her eyes are a dark brown, and she usually wears a brown leather bag, kind of like those fancy suit cases you'll see around. Her cutiemark is a dark 'S' that is appearing to be drawn by an ink feather. The mare got her cutiemark when she realized that she had an amazing talent and amount of creativity than the other fillies and her family. I'm honestly going to say that Scribble Way actually didn't grow up in Equestria, she grew up in a small kingdom just outside of it. She is a different looking pony. Her coat is a bit thicker than the others, along with the shape of her main body, which happens to be similar Luna's figure. Her horn is a bit skinnier and smaller than the other unicorns, and her ears are very large. I hadn't really decided what the kingdoms name will be though, haha. I hadn't decided what exact age she'll be either. What do you think, Tyandaga?

here’s my oc name: violet orchid gender: female species: changeling strengths: violet is a very smart and clever changeling. she has passion for art and nature. weaknesses: violet is very anti social and has anger issues that she cannot control. backstory: violet grew up as one of the smartest changelings in the hive, because of that, she has been chosen to pretend to be some pony else and outsmart ponies. after she saw all of the other changelings reform, she did the same. she still uses her powers to trick people, but has caring side to her. she doesn’t have much friends, but loves it calm and quiet. she keeps on searching ways on how to become more clever and better at tricking people, but she is also looking for a way to transform into any kind of creature (all creatures). once somepony interrupts her while reading, her anger goes up. violet also has a passion for art. she loves to draw nature. her and ocellus used to be enemies when they were fillies, but now they are friends because they are both bookworms and have a calming personality. her idol is starlight glimmer, because of what she did for the changelings, and she hopes one day she can meet her! violet also has a small sense of humor inside of her! and she loves to play buckball.

I'm the type of person who makes millions of ocs when I'm in a fandom, and the same happened for mlp. But now as a project to keep me busy for the last week of Christmas, I'm working on my own version of a main six group. And I'm one character in. And they aren't named yet. This will be a fun week XD.

Not a fan of the new My little pony thing. But this of course could go for every fandom. Of course with so many characters already made chances are they will ahve similarities of what happens in backstories..... But the combination of personality and backstory is where uniqueness comes from.

I made a oc. Her name is Comet Pen! She is a light tanish color, and her hair is light red and dark red. it is like bon bon hair, but diffrent, she has blue eyes and has freckles.She is a earth pony and DOES NOT have secret magic and stuff like that. I made a interesting back story, and this video was A TON of help! Thank you!

My main oc right now is a pegasus pony who has literal magic hooves and specializes in alchemy. She is very shy and has mild depression. She also is the pony age equivalent to 16 in human years old. She is on the run from Princess Celestia and the whole of the Solar Empire (she lives in an AU so yeah) and hence she can't really stay in one place for too long and has sort of become a gypsy. She is currently heading north, towards the Lunar Republic. Her name is Midnight Soul because her mane and tail somewhat resemble the night sky and her magic is most powerful at night when the moon is in veiw.

Name:Starburst Appearance: medium orange pegasus with pale orange wing tips. Red mane with orange streaks and yellow tips. Leaf green eyes. Cutie mark is a red heart with a baby blue double music note in the center. Personality: a little like all of the mane 6. Shy(Fluttershy), fashionable(Rarity), fun and outgoing(Pinkie Pie), smart(Twilight), country girl attitude(Applejack), and daring(Rainbow Dash). Arrogant at times, argues till she proves her point, stubborn, and struggles with many things like making good choices. Backstory: she was born in Cloudsdale but was forced to move to Ponyville by her parents. It didn't turn out very well and made only one friend while she was there. When she was old enough to live on her own, she moved back to Cloudsdale and still currently resides there. She likes to visit her one friend back in ponyville, but not very often due to her old bullies. Notes: now one problem. Like u said, u hate recolorations of canon characters. Well thats sorta the case but with good reason. My oc Starburst has the same mane and tail style as Rainbow Dash but I have perfect reasoning for doing so. Starburst is a perfect example of me. Its how I made her. She represents me and has my attributes in her. Starburst is me. Now, I idolize Rainbow Dash. I just love her through and through. She's my role model. Therefor, i of course am going to put my idol into my oc that is a representation of me as a pony. So don't always hate on recolorations of canon characters cuz they may have a good reason for doing so.

If you are doing traits, its best to have a category for negative traits and positive traits, because a majority of the time OCs have opposing traits that are almost opposite of each other, such as me, I am a very fiery person and can be rude at times, yet in some situations I am polite. It would also help if you explained when they are like this when having opposite traits, I am polite when I'm nervous or when meeting someone for the first time. Personality weaknesses would be good also.

My charicter: Electro Beatz Her look: She has a hot pink man and in the center a lighter pink mane and she has dark blue coat. She also has those little fur thingies on her hooves (like big mac) type:pegasus Backstory: Hidi Shorts was born in Maresourri. Unlike the other members of her family (yellow and orange) she stood out. With her brightly colored mane and coat she gained the nickname rainby. Rainby always loved to draw. She drew lots of things like dragons and caticatures. One day her BFF Honest Rose sand a song to her and asked if she could draw the music sheets. (At the time Hidi was only ten) She was hesitent then said yes. Honest thanked her and she was paid a good 10$. Hidi set to work and she was done in two days. Honest was A-M-A-Z-E-D!!!! She told Hidi that she had a talent for this. Well, Hidi took it to heart and made her very first song. It was called Party rock. She sung it to many but they all rejected it. Then she ran into Vynal Scratch. Hidi thought Vynal and Octavia where very talented. Together they created a remix and the song was a hit! Hidi was soon asked to do more. As she learned to do so many songs she got a cutie mark of a mp3 player and earbuds. She soon grew famous and all knew her stage name Electro Beatz. She was not working with the living tombstone and wooden toaster. She was with the big stars now! However she soon forgot about her friends. When Honest rose called her up to go to a party she replied "No sorry i have better things to do then hang with tiny foals like you". Honest was broken. She soon moved on but Electro missed her. She was wrapped up in the music buisness and would do almost every song that paid. Electro Beatz had become pony Miley Cirus. When one day she got a call from her little sister, Queil Feather. She said "Sissy, I miss you. Mommy says i cant watch u on tv and i really want u back. I have to go now mom says i cant talk to u till u change ur ways." Hidi was hurt. Her own mother needed to protect her sister from her. So she changed her ways. When she got home at first nopony liked her. Soon, she went from pony miley cirus back to hidi. But she leagally changed her name to electro beatz cuz she hated her old name The End Who liked my story and what r ur opinions id like to know :)

Since, like, everyone and their mother is doing this I guess I will too. My oc: Race: Alicorn/Unicorn Talent: Drawing Cutie Mark: A picture of a drawing of an ocean with a pencil Color palette: light colors, like pastel and a little of darks Backstory: (this is kinda hard) Pastel Party woke on a bench and started to walk home, she thought she fell asleep and no one cared to wake her. Other ponies started to laugh at her, Pastel saw her bff and asked her why everyone one is laughing. Her friend, Milky said "Why aren't you flying you have wings, silly" Pastel looked at her wings, confused. Why was she an alicorn, Pastel is a Unicorn. Pastel certainly wasn't a princess, she didn't have the personality for it. Milky then said "Go home, you're obviously lightheaded or something." "Okay" Pastel said and she flew home. It was like she was always flying, this is weird Pastel thought on her way home. Princess, her sitter said that Celsetia needs Pastel to go to her palace.

I got a lot of ocs with backstory, character and position in society, but i just cant seem to make good fitting pony names for them -.-

heres my OC backstory if you care :) Camera Shy (Cam for short yes i know the closeness to fluttershy but it wasnt chosen because of that) was a unicorn who loved taking pictures. since her parents had to move a lot for her fathers job, she had never before gotten to stay in one place for too long, but after several years of travel, her family finally settled down. Camera Shy loved to take pictures (and also staying out of them as much as she could). Soon Camera Shy met her first actual friends, a few had their cutiemarks, but more were, like her, blank flanks. it wasnt long however that everyone started getting their cutiemarks, and although she knew in her heart that she wanted to work with cameras, she didnt receive hers. when the fillies and colts went into Steele Knight Academy as teens, everyone had their cutiemark...except for Cam. People started to drift from her, one of the fillies she used to play with told her things like "you can always take pictures as a hobby" and " youre being stupid, you need to accept that photography wont be your profession, try doing something else and you will find out what you are actually meant to do". although she couldnt understand why she felt so drawn to cameras she knew in her heart it had something to do with her mark. so while everypony else was busy learning more about their trades, Cam was focusing all of her time learning about different types of photography, cameras and lenses. at the last year at Steele Knight Academy, she met a young earth pony named Beta Test whom not only loved playing games but was interested in the development of games. Beta Test and Camera Shy got close really fast, he didnt care that her flank was blank, and even admired that she was so determined to prove everyone (including her flank) that pictures would have something to do with her cutiemark. so Beta Test helped her learn as much as she could, while other colts and fillies laughed and said he was wasting his time, he didnt feel like his time could have been better spent. after years of trying, Cam finally admitted defeat, Beta told her she couldnt give up, but she told him she wouldnt ever feel as strongly about pictures as she did any other trade "there is something magical about capturing precious moments, without photographs we only have a blurry picture in our heads, but these give us the chance to really remember something amazing", but she accepted being a blank flank, though her heart sank as she felt she may be the oldest blank flank in all of equestria. they graduated school, and settled down, and Cam still took pictures while Test worked on his games. One day, Camera Shy and Beta Test learned they were going to be parents, so they set up their first dr appointment, and were told to have an ultrasound done. when they arrived, Camera Shy looked at the strange machine that was next to a long table as a nice looking mare named Echo Waves came in, and told Camera Shy to lie down on the table, and expose her belly. Echo Waves put some cold blue gel on Cam's stomach, and put a small device on after "what does it do?" Cam asked with a raised eyebrow. EW said that it was a doppler that would transmit waves to the machine, and that an ultrasound was a way to see inside of her stomach and check on the young colt or filly. Beta and Camera Shy watched in amazement as the screen next to them came to life, revealing a small black background and, what looked to be a cupcake. "that 'cupcake' is your baby, it is still to early to pick out specific features, but the next time you come in expect to" Echo said, Cam and Beta smiled wholeheartedly, but she jumped a little when the machine made a loud sound. "here you go" said Echo Waves as he handed her a small glossy print out of the cupcake looking fetus. Cam felt tears rushing to her eyes and a warm feeling radiate her body, specifically her flank "pictures really are the best kind of memories". as she got up, Beta gasped which was all the confirmation she needed. a beautiful doppler facing a triangle with three waves inside was forever imprinted on her, and she knew that she had found her calling. flash forward to present: Camera Shy and Beta test have a beautiful little colt, and Cam is a successful Ultrasound Tech who captures the special moments of the inside workings of pregnancy, her favorite part of her job is finding out the gender for expectant parents, but she still incorporates her camera by taking newborn and family pictures when her guests come back. her life is full of much love, and fulfillment.

My oc is called Galactic Nova who is a Pegasus. In the past she was bullied because she has tourrets and she has a strange phobia of soggy bread ( like me XD ). She has a blue and purple mane and tail, a dark blue coat and she has small white freckles on her ears and face. Her cutie mark is 2 music notes coloured with a galaxy pattern. Even though she has tourrets, her passion is singing.

Job: acting singing and playing the violin Birthplace Ponyville's hostpital species:Pegasus (was once alicorn) As a filly Melody was born at the crack of dawn on January 5th. Her Mother FlowerSprout was a Light blue pegasus and farther a unicorn named Lighting Striker, and a sister Lighting a unicorn. Melody had a mistake when she came into the lovely world, she had a HORN! Melody was so embarrassed about it when she was 5 that she decided to chop of her horn, and since her magic was invisible when mother wasn't looking she levitated a sharp knife and chopped the horn right off. she was only 5 so she didn't know bye cutting off her horn it could kill her, she new it would hurt but not kill, Weeks turned to months and months turned to years, at the age of 10 Melody went home, finally healed from the scar on her head. she use her hair and put it over her head so no one would see it, for the most part after the incident Melody's life was wonderful, she made many friends and even learned at a fast rate! Melody was 12 when she found 2 new things about her self. Melody and her school was doing a play Melody was thrilled with all the sights and actors and just everything.Melody played a small part but worked hard at it. The Night before the play Zoomer made fun of her "Your parts not worth it" he said "Ur just a little fairy" He acted as if a fairy was in his hand a smashed it. Melody felt tears forming when one young stallion called out from behind him. Does that make you feel better? make that young filly cry? and another blurted out Most likely he needs to hurt others to make himself feel better. chaos formed of words to protect Melody. Melody smiled and glowed with joy to know that she had supportive friends to help her. Finally the play came there was laughing singing dancing everything was just perfect. Melody went through every thing with joy and excitement. after the play she looked at her flank to see it blank. i felt like i was meant to act, sing and dance for pony's pleasure, why don't i have a cutie mark yet? weeks past and melody wondered and wondered then it was time for awards to be given Melody was graduating elementary school. Melody trotted down to collect her award.when she noticed something she looked on her flank and her jaw dropped MY CUTIE MARK she screamed and she Flew back to her seat about to explode, as Zoomer whispered i deserve that award. That night Melody went to bed she was thinking of the play the night before to be exact.and remember all those sticking up for her, Looking back on that she murmured why did i even cut off my horn i have many friends and family there for me. saddened by the huge mistake she made when she was young she went down stairs for a glass of water. She thought she should try a spell who knows she thought. i might have a invisible horn, my hora was invisible anyway. so she gave it a try. nothing happened. ya that's what I thought she said as she turned around forgetting about the glass of water behind her she felt a pound on her head she turned around to see a levitating glass. She screamed as her mother and farther ran down stairs.only to see Melody levitating a glass of water, that's when Melody realized she was the only pegasus who can do magic with no horn.. Melodys life was wonderful from then on as she practiced spells and acted sang and made music the best way she could. Sorry this is so long XD

I have actually had a idea for a story about a pony who is different than the rest of the pony world in almost every single way, but I honestly haven't seen enough of the original cartoon to get all the locations, canon characters, and events to an at least passable level of realism

I fully understand the multiple tries point for the artwork. My first drawing of my OC was actually pretty good, but for a while, I'd have a lot of trouble getting the right facial expression when trying to draw him again.

My alicorn OC has a long back story and it deals with my other oc's ponies. But to make it light. Nova, just a regular white unicorn grew up in the land before Equestia was founded and where the ponies use to fight among themselves and each type looked down at others and believe they are the best. Especially the royal unicorns who held the highest status. Nova was looked down upon as the black sheep of the pony for one simple fact. He did not have a cutie mark even at the age of the main six. Nova and his friends of pegasus and earth ponies were trying to get the leaders to find a way to co exist but seeing that can not be done, and a certain unicorn, (star swirled the breaded) had told him about his real destiny and why he haven't gotten a cutie mark. All was told to him was to travel through the land of shadows and where he will find his true purpose. When he fought these shadows, he used his magic to absorb the shadows in attempt to save the land. When everything was set right, he emerged not only as an alicorn, but his fur turned back and highlight mane white. a white earth pony yin appeared on his flank to show he the balance of good and evil. And he does switch back and forth. (But mostly he stays white.) That's the very shor version. currently typing his story. As being an alicorn, he doesn't fly that well, even with practice he chooses not to fly unless certain situations calls for it. He seem cold to others, but really it draws the best out in others. He usually think before he acts and protect those who are in need. Yet in some cases he is over protective. (like having a daughter) He is a very serious pony and takes in being a father and a king very serious. though he tends to spoil his daughter to the point it draws out the humor in him.

An Original Character (OC) is a character that you created on your own that is not part of an existing Franchise. Meanwhile, a Fan Character is a character that you created on your own that is part of an existing Franchise. That means that if you make a character that is part of a species from an already existing Franchise like One Piece, My Little Pony, or Zelda then is a Fan Character. What makes them the same is that they are both characters created by you, and not a recolor/redesign version of an already existing character. But what makes a good character is subjective and not objective. Characters are like foods. Not everyone will like the same thing. Some people like the ruthless type of character while others like the decent type of character. Who I like and who you like may not be the same. So there s no such a thing as a cut-and-dry rule for this, and sure some character traits in a person are likable, so this is dependent on the person. So all you can do is create a character and hope for the best since not everyone is gonna like the same type of character.

She noticed the parched pony and the deck and quickly went to assist her. Citrus gave her a little drink for free and slowly started to talk with the pony. Grapevine was exhausted and headed to bed as soon as the shop closed. Peachy Pulp and Strong Seed soon after did the same. Citrus couldn't go to bed quite yet. She had all these dishes still left over to clean up after te long day of work. She had finally finished and went to wipe down the tables until she saw her mothers cook book wide open. Citrus thought that maybe if she creates something that is better than anything in this Cook book, she could be of greater help to the business. Citrus quickly flicked through the book until she found a recipe that caught he attention "Lemonade". Citrus decided she was gonna try this out. Except, she couldn't find any lemons. They had all been used up after the big work day. Citruses heart broke slightly. She sighed and went to put the ingredients back into the fridge until she saw a strange bottle. Citrus had never seen this bottle. It was glowing blue and the shape of a pear. Citrus curiously reached for it and read the title "Zecoras Enchanted Lemon Juice". The liquid inside was fizzing and bubbling uncontrollably. Citrus was so happy. She quickly re-gathered the ingredients and poured them together. To her surprise a single bubble gently floated out of the cup and hovered above it. Shortly after, the remaining liquid did the same. Once all the bubble were together they formed into one and popped over the cup, making delicious lemonade. Citrus got her cutiemark from this. She showed her family and they agreed that the lemonade could sell at the store. Citrus can now watch other ponies smile and laugh at the bubbles like she did when she was a filly.

My pony oc has basically all of my trates, including extreme anxiety but she's kind and brave on they outside. Her name is Stary Night. I love the colors of her fur.

She went rushed over to a stall grabbed some food and left some bits to pay. When she was about a few meters away from the forest a vicious Chimera appeared and started attacking ponyville. She Knew what to do instantly, ignoring the welps and crys she burst into the air, equipped her bow and Shot 3 Blazing arrows at the Chimera. Which died once the arrow's pierced it. Ponyville started dragging Arrow to Central Ponyville and celebrated. She kept tying to walk away or fly but was forced another pastry or whatever baked good. It was even worse when pinkie decided to celebrate by throwing one of her own parties. She was stuck in ponyville for the whole day and finally escaped during pin the pony on the tail or whatever. It was the worst, ABSOLUTE WORST day of her life. When she came back home with the food and treats, something cheered her up immensely; her cutiemark appeared. The good oc is a original. NOT A ALICORN ! Is a problem in a fandom mlp ! There are far too many oc alicorns, and that worries people, because it's not creative! I had one before, but I realized that oc alicorns are not little, and they are very dependent. So I created Starry Sky, a pegasus that has medium magic. And I mean that there are plenty of people who make dark sides of their oc, and I think that's not good. They abuse it like Emala Jiss, who has 4 sides of his oc! 4! It's way too much ! After that, I really like the complicated ocs, which have a twisted but meaningful story. They are beautiful to see, original! Mine are hard to reproduce, but reflect my personality!

Listen, kids. Make whatever OC you want. Don't listen to all this "what makes a bad oc" garbage. It's an OC for you, right? No, I'm not going to read your story about your alicorn princess who works at the kitten orphanage, but someone will. Some people LIKE characters others would consider Mary Sues. They're probably the same people who hated "Putting Your Hoof Down" because they think Fluttershy should be sweet and perfect all the time. They're probably the same people who don't like Rarity or Rainbow Dash for their arrogance, despite the fact that it's a pretty common personality trait and makes the two aforementioned more rounded as characters. At the end of the day, it's your fantasy and it can be whatever you want it to be. If super-nice alicorn princesses are what make you happy, then go right ahead and have a super-nice alicorn princess for an OC. Sheesh.

my oc's name is viperdust. she is a half peguses and half dragon.her cutiemark is a rose with a snake wrapped around it. viper is quiet and hates most people, but once she opens up, she acts like a sugarhigh pinkiepie.(thats all i have so far and i havnt really found colors thay fit her so imma work on that)

My OC's back story basically takes place in the future of equestria when the mane 6 has died. And friendship has started to deteriorate because of this. Sombra, eventually being reincarnated through his dark magic (his horn wasn't destroyed) caused mayhem yet again and was neck and neck with the princesses. While this was going on one of the princesses (Celestia) sent a letter to Dr. BiO (an earth pony) biologist and engineer) whom decided to help the princess by creating a machine which can splice the genes of any creature. He then, decided to mix a pony with Wyvern DNA. However, there was one problem, he couldn't find any pony to do so as he already had the Wyvern. Thusly, Luna volunteered due to her so called ability to not be phased by Sombra's fear inducing magic. The Dr. then puts the Wyvern in the machine, along with a prick of Luna's blood and splices it to create the perfect soldier. It ends up creating a moon Wyvern which is a pony with dragon like scales to defend against fire, dragon eyes to see in the dark, a horn, a serpentine tail, and a mind which can not be entered by Sombra. The Doctor, along with Luna agree to. create more from this first one by cloning it. Then, with an army of moon Wyvern, the princesses win. However, society had been destroyed, friendship was basically dead, and the buildings had been mainly reduced to rubble due to Sombra's influence in Equestria. So, with the help of the moon Wyvern the princesses rebuilt the housing, along with their castle until society was eventually restored. However, over the generations Moon Wyvern became but a distant memory. So the remainder was exiled into the everfree fores, deep in the monster infested place. Though, not everpony, agreed with being exiled, this particular moon Wyvern wanted something more. So she tried to make friends and live in ponyville but no pony wanted to be around her as her appearance was startling. So she tried with the griffons, but they didn't want her around either. She kept trying for about a year, until she gave up, and went back into the everfree. She decided if they can not accept me, then I will try to protect them unnoticed from the everfree. Under the shade of night, she would stalk ponyville from the trees of the evergreen for many generations to come. She became known as the silent protector, but her real name was simply Wyvern and nopony would ever know that.

my OC is based off of myself... so one of the defining traits I gave my Pegasus self is... no mane. because I have a shaved head, although I kept a tail because I dont want her to look like I just coloured in a base. her name is Chesh and she's just a simple artisan working on making art. she's soft spoken and often finds herself bouncing between inexplicably awkward and really self confident. she tends to be motherly towards her friends but more like in a cool mom way than anything else. she also has terrible eating habits and is prone to forgetting that there is an outside beyond her front door.

The process of making your own character can very long can also take a few seconds.If you are me you might of took 7 months to find the perfect personality,color,mane style,and body and eye color.So basically what I am trying to say is that if you wanna find your own oc take your time.Only use pony genorater when you are trying to find good colors for your oc.

I recently created a pony character for nostaglia's sake, I sometimes want to draw G1 stylished ponies with my own extra touch in them but I don't feel like drawing already existing character so I made myself one. They are a pegasus and their name is Whipped Cream. I haven't decided personality or backstory for them yet but they gotta love ice cream!
