Her brain can regenerate. She really doesn't fear headshots. And she got to be dumb and get Neuman to go along with it with Homelander when he was floundering with his talk at the mansion.
Given earlier in the series, we saw her literally lobotomize herself to essentially get high, and then recovered from what was otherwise catastrophic brain damage, I'm not entirely sure a bullet to the head would outright kill her. I suppose if she bled to death that'd kill her, but the regenerative ability of some supes is pretty profound, even if it's not a universal constant with them.
Eh, most likely the bleeding out since the bullet is still in the back of her skull. And she only said her brain COULD regenerate, not her entire body or bones. Plus, she made sure when doing said lobotomies, to avoid any MAJOR damage. Cuz otherwise she would have used a bigger surgerical knife
@@thatonea-hole Actually, the bullet staying in wouldn't necessarily be a problem if the rest of her brain could regenerate; the human body typically deals with shrapnel by creating a cyst of scar tissue to encapsulate it, and I assume she could have it removed later. At the end of the day, I get the feeling that seeing her lobotomize herself was setting up the premise that she COULD survive being shot in the head; it was too obvious a Chekov's Gun... no pun intended.
During the scene of the hiring of new members for the seven when homelander tells the deep to suck off a-train, you can see that in sister's sage preview, she has "moderate healing" ability
Interesting how she manipulates him into shooting her in the head, the only part of her that regenerates, by saying things like “look her in the EYE!!”.

Eh, don't count on it. She got a hole through her brain, which is a whole different thing compared to small scrapes to it. I doubt she can regenerate her normal skin because otherwise she would have just stabbed through her eye when doing her scrapes
i thought she didnt think about getting shot but later she pretends to be childlish and even gives hint to Neuman so Homelander knows his place so that shot in the head was her intention in the end, i think she just wants to punish ignorant people (just like Homelander), she literally said that to Neuman
Pretends to be childish? Man did you even watch the show, when Deep gave her a lobotomy? Her getting shot in her head was her way of escaping her harsh realities of being the smartest person on the world. She doesn't pretend to be childish because her brain just got severely damaged, it takes a couple of hours for it to fully heal and in that time she has the mindset of a 4 year old.

I mean, we have seen it regenerate in small doses via small lobotomy incisions. I doubt she can do that with a hole THROUGH her brain, especially with said hole, causing major bleeding. To compare Black Noir died to a hole in his stomach, and he was experienced with fighting/killing other super and survived an explosion to the face

All those are located in the head. Basically she's planting 'shoot me in the head' onto his thoughts.

People who said she hasn't been smart here are wrong : - she waits silently, letting them find the secret passage for sure. - she provokes MM to erode his focus that would give her a very tiny window to trigger the alarm on her right. Anyway, she survives.
She might have done this to get A-Train to expose himself. Homelander knows the boys were there now, and I don't think A-Train has a strong alibi like Sage or Firecracker.
He's been taking those shots that suppress your appetite through hormones. It makes people look like they have been on a meth binge, it also increases people's risk of thyroid cancer exponentially. Not worth the risk in my opinion
People in the comments clowning on Sage like this didn't go according to her plan. She knows her weaknesses, so I'm sure she knows how to position her body a certain way so that a bullet is less likely to kill her.

Yep, seeing people underestimate her is grand considering she's probably been her whole life. She's definitely one of my favorite characters, as she's always a few steps ahead. She knew she would get shot, and used it to take Mother's Milk out without even touching him. Shes playing a bigger game and she's gathering the strongest around her, imo it's why she didn't out A train, he is probably the only one who's a good hero, and his power makes him an ideal support. It's important to note this connects to Noir in a way as he's the third of the new "black supes" as the show sees them, Sage is kind of Grey, A Train is light and Noir is dark. Him feeling left out will drive him to do something to impress Homelander and fill Noirs shoes, and this will be likely killing a lot of people.

I was like "AND YOU HAD TO SHOOT HER IN THE ONLY FUCKING SPOT THAT SHE IS INVULNERABLE" when I saw this scene. Ahh, I was shocked for like 3 seconds till I realized.
Maybe she wanted to get shot in the head so she wouldn't be helpful to Homelander for the meeting. Her conversation with Neuman made me think she's up to something like having plans within plans. Her loyalty to Homelander isn't so convincing to me. Most likely, she's just trying to survive and waiting until the right opportunity to strike.
Right I need to settle the air here because people here clearly do not understand this character and instead are just projecting the fact they clearly don't watch the show or don't understand it. Earlier in the episode she gave Neuman her pitch and got her interested, she knew this meeting was going to happen so think about it. What would Homelander do if Sage could function fine in that moment? He would call upon her and have her say everything and they would simply hear if from her and not Neauman which was her clear intention this episode. So how to resolve this? She is walking around the house for a reason and I strongly think she was gonna lobotomize herself but instead she ran into MM. She then knew he would shoot her so she manipulates the situation by getting into MM's head and forcing him to shoot because otherwise he really wouldn't so she pushed him by using his family against him. He then did so after she moved and shot her in the side of the head which in turn gave her a really big Lobotomy. She then goes back to the party and she is fucked so Homelander cant use her as a crutch and look what happened he almost fucked it after pulling Neuman into it which was the intention. Neuman then stood up and put herself into it which is exactly what Sage wanted, so in turn everything went exactly as she wanted.
We all knew that her brain would regrow. It's one of her superpowers. She actually enjoys being normal brained for the couple of hours it takes to heal.
If Sage knew all that stuff about MM’s daughter she might already know that he usually goes for the head for kills. She knew they know she doesn’t have regenerative abilities besides her brain, that’s why she riled MM up. My best guess is that she’s trying to stay on Homelander´s side but is actually playing both sides.
When he was so smart but he wasn't, he had to think about his own selfishness. Although it may be that if the bullet stays in his brain it will prevent him from regenerating and dying, although that detail will be maintained so that he returns for season 5!

I think her plan was to make MM have a heart attack or a panic attack, she just didn't count on his accuracy while he was having the panic attack. When Kimiko came back to the scene I don't think she even noticed Sage got up and left, she was 100% focused on saving MM.
Well he shot her in the brain, the only part of her that can regenerate entirely. So she did in fact smart her way out of this one, she was even up and walking around like 2 minutes later

@@idkidk503 the plan is dumb, because there's always a non zero chance the shot would go somewhere she can't heal, like her heart, especially if she continued setting him off in that way to the point of him having a panic attack.
Don’t worry she’s fine. She’s really a good guy/girl. Anything “bad” she may have done is because someone else forced her to do it. Just following orders. Totally 100% redeemable. She will probably figure out that the blood bending girl from Gen V will have the ability to pull the compound V out of Homelanders blood stream. Making him powerless. Then her, A-train, the Gen V kids, and MM will all beat Homelander to death.
Idk if its before or after this, but she confides in Deep that her brain regenerates completely, just takes time, maybe MM knew this, because killing Sage outright would put too much heat on them.
I don't know if its possible however I think she did that on purpose for her to Trigger MM's Heart attack in hoping he gets captured and as a way to confirm A-Train being a traitor as he would be really the only person to be able to save MM.
If its her brain then shes fine. Anywhere else doesn't have that super regeneration would of been bad for her. Remember guys she lobotomies herself to dumb down
I think that was a fake out. Didn't she pull the book to open the door? She should have easily done the math and figure out that she could make it before getting shot. You think she wanted them to find out the plan?
I mean, how does her brain get rid of the bullet? Especially if that bullet fractures? Heck, I can't imagine a .22 caliber going into the brain, and carve all throughout it. Suspension of disbelief i guess.
Honestly it depends what their power is... If it involves taking in energy or pressure in some way like a train or starlight, then yes their bulletproof. On the other hand supes that dont require much strain on the body to use their powers will be much more vulnerable
