I’ve made that comment on a bunch of pages about how much I find that disgusting to be hitting a guy who’s clearly unconscious and out. how it’s against every rule you’re ever taught about fighting and what’s fair. not to mention, how dangerous it is. The nasty responses I sometimes get from people make me reconsider how I feel about the sport. Cause too many of the fighters think that that’s how it should be because until the ref stopped you you don’t stop hitting, regardless of the damage it does when someone can’t defend themselves

@@Combatlon not to already unconscious people. That’s not only cowardly and a sign of an undisciplined fighter, who doesn’t know how to handle aggression, it’s also negligent, and in some cases borderline criminal. Because when someone’s head is bouncing off the mat, they don’t need to be punched anymore. No sport should sanction hitting an unconscious opponent because they are literally defenseless. And although the referees job is to arbitrate a fight and interfere when one of the fighters safety is threatened, a fighter should respect his opponent, his opponent’s family, and the basic human values (that begin with the shake of the hand at the beginning of the fight) enough to know there’s a way to win the fight without leaving permanent damage as has happened from slamming opponents and hitting an opponent who was unconscious repeatedly. it’s ultimate fighting and/or mixed martial arts not permanent maiming or killing.

Oh, there are some people on these comment threads who brag and feel all manly punching the crap out of somebody who’s unconscious. Bitch thing to do. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
