Darren Till was so patient like a proud uncle.Kept the environment perfect for Conor to learn.Salute to you Conor for being so humble as to go try something you are not comfortable in.
Massive respect to you Conor for going into an environment where you'd legit just get killed in reality... which I'm sure you realised but you still put this video up, that takes humility and a great eagerness to learn. Huge respect.
bro thats how you learn, he is a true student to the game, "what do I do here" no ego, just intuitive learning, always asking questions, wanting to be there, genuine, big up conor benn, also remembering this man is a beast and a master at his own sport
Till is at a much higher level in his game compared to Connor. Till is the real deal, dedicated and left for Brazil to learn his trade, quality fighter and lives the life of a fighter.
Yep, that rubbish just stinks of "to scared to try" ...that logic is the same as a wrestler saying "a boxer would be on his back before he could throw his first punch"
@@MegaSlayerr I dont think there is....who's to say the boxer can land that perfect punch...people.think one shot from.a boxer and it's done. Wrestler will just be careful with his entries and take them down.
@@markroyds23 i disagree, unless the skill gap is beyond big the wrestler more often then not will get the takedown and finish, don’t get me wrong it’s all ifs and buts. But that’s just my take on it
Darren's smile could light up a room...... Literally. Honestly he seems to be such a top lad though such an upbeat guy... So glad I found this channel, Connor is a beast. I could definitely see him in MMA
I like how connor got stuck in with everyone, wasn’t just there to bowl about tills gym to make a cool video, genuinely seemed like he wanted to learn some shit
9:33 Favourite part of this video. No ego, Till tells Conor ‘head up’ order to get the better position on him rather than just putting him down for his own benefit. What a class video and great insight.
Mate you have to try out MMA. I was a boxer at first done a bit of amateur fighting, crossed over to MMA. Kicking comes easy, hands already there, it comes down to BJJ and grappling. I didn't actually go to BJJ trainings nor grappling, it was always mixed trainings. Had my MMA debut this year and won! Didn't enjoy the ground game at first nor the leg kicks didn't feel too good, but I fell in love with it like I did boxing. Give it a go G!
@@soys8834 both have their benefits, MMA is definitely the most well rounded, in terms of skill though, a LOT of MMA guys are decent at many things, but not amazing at any. Tbh I think that is partially why you get a lot of MMA fights which you see that are a piss poor standard and just look like two guys outside the pub having a scrap (not talking about UFC). Could also be because it's a newer sport tbf. But in general, the typical 'jack of all trades, master of none' seems appropriate. Not meant in a way to discredit either btw.
mma fighters are on another levell to any other fight sport. i recon youd be a belter mma fighter with the right training go for it! jujitsu is humbling
Goes to show there are levels to this. Darren is considered a striker in the UFC, but against the average he looks like a pro wrestler. I do feel getting more wrestling and grappling specialists into the UK will help British mixed martial artists
New subscriber here. Big fan of Till. Love your attitude so far and how open you are to learn and asking questions. Keep it up looking forward to seeing more of you in the future. PS Darren can't wrestle lol wait to you feel a real wrestler
Nice to see a boxer appreciate grappling. As for the session being hard, for most people they would have been blowing out of their arse. Great natural grappling instincts 👌🏼
@@justcallfrank0089 Yeah!! he clearly would, I've done jujitsu for a while, if i can improve it's a no brainer that Conor would and improve a lot faster than me. I went from getting tapped every 30 seconds to ones or twice every 5 minutes, so that's 1 to 2 times per roll with different people in a couple of weeks, he would clearly be awesome at it if he gave grappling some of his time.
He will be an amazing boxer but MMA is a different ball game. It would probably take him like 3-4 year to get his wrestling and grappling down. Most of these MMA guys have been doing it in high school
Great content. I came here for Darren but your curiosity is contagious and you get a great lesson/interview out of him. Good luck with the grind, my man!
I love to see these crossover videos,I was a good amateur boxer in the 80s and my son is now a BJJ brown belt . I can make him dance to my tune boxing but less than a minute on the ground and I am toast
Big respect mate for coming in truly wanting to learn would love to see u in ufc if u just spent next 3 yrs learning wrestling from a high level wrestler and some submission and transition defence
This is amazing Connor, if you learnt some basic upper body standing wrestling controls and concepts and applied them to your boxing - collar tie, under & overhooks, arm drags, pummelling then your inside and clinch game will go through the roof and you will be a demon offensively & defensively there 💪😎💪
Definitely the right way to get started is with another natural striker. If Benn is coming over, I'd be very excited to see what Kaobon can do with him
Well done Connor. Put in the time now and you’ll be a beast in MMA. Wrestling and submission defence, kickboxing defence. Some Submission office and you’ll be great
Love to see boxers being humble and willing to be a beginner at MMA rather than calling MMA fighters to box. Especially at Conor Benns level good to see he is enjoying it also
Darren Till is very good at introducing other athletes to MMA. He did a great job with Tyson Fury, and now Conor Benn. If Conor gets the urge to get in a cage he'll do well hooking up with Darren again.
Crazy to see Connor benn at kaobon. Was picking up my shin guards that I left there by accident last time I was there and saw nick peet talking to him and was wondering why he was there, was in a rush so didn’t have time to ask or nothing but now I know! Class! Defenitely needed a bit of humbling though when he was trying to say that it would be harder for an MMA fighter to cross over to boxing rather than the other way round😂😂 no chance mate, it’s pretty obvious that it would be much easier for an MMA fighter to cross over and challenge the best in boxing. Anybody who disagrees is just a stubborn boxing fan that isn’t looking at the full picture.
@@johnka7287 fair point mate. Still stick to my general argument though that it is harder for a boxer to crossover than for a mma fighter to crossover haha.
