@TDMasterpiece Fedor is well versed in subs and sub defense, I would say he took the fight as a walk in the park, like many people saw it! Ill give you the benefit of the arguement and wait on the 2nd fight. And again my hats off to Werdum!

@solomon2002, i completely agree, i went from 135 to 200, lifting wights. i started of in karate wich at that time i was pretty fast weighing 160, but once i started doing mma with BTT, i discovered the same thing as you all that muscle was crap, core strengh is the most important, now am at 180, and just focus primarily on my core and body wheight excersise, and lift heavy only on compond movements like deadlifts

@TheSUBGAMER Weight lifting alone definitely isn't enough but it has its purposes, especially injury prevention.

you never know who would win between gsp and silva. depends which weight they fought at. and also depends on if silva really wants to fight. he needs to lose a fight so he will fight like he used to. he just plays around now. doesnt really try like he used to

@salomon2002 yeh i might get a few to try out properly, tried to pick up a 110 lb kettlbell the other day and couldnt, when i used to press 2 dumbells like that for reps, theres something about them, very compact and dense but when ive used em i didnt really connect

@mmalover1991 that have what could be considered great stand up. and alves is known for his lowkicks as much as daley is for his hooks. and i dont think overeem has a glass jaw. his fight against badr hari was stopped prematurely, and the first time he went down, it was almost a slip (but i agree, it was a knockdown) besides, once he puts up those gigantic biceps of his, his defence is awsome punches usually dont get through.

@OnRockIT yeah, thats what i miss about him. when he fought guys like miller, heiron he was a beast standing up. but now that he has the belt, i think he fights way more catious. i think his stand up has gotten even better since then, he's just not going to use it as much until he has to fight someone like jake sheilds. who is known for a amazing groundgame and not so good striking. george just has to put more combos together. enough of the superman punch followed by a leg kick crap.

@TeamSammon only because he is a physically larger person. you might as well say that brock lesnar or someone like that can do it. although, jon jones... i dont see it. MAYBE by taking him down, he's a hell of a wresteler. but so was henderson and sonnen (whom he beat with a hurt rib).

@TDMasterpiece I do see your point and agree that the UFC is obviously established and in reality needs no-one fighter! But (Dana's) Pay Per Views with Fedor fights would be unprecedented (by MMA viewer standards). The UFC stands to make far more money off this than Fedor! but financially Fedor is set, Dana should have given Fedor the respect he deserves back when, if he had, Fedor would be in the UFC today. Some people have enough bank, they dont have to compromise their principle!

@asdfghjkl1989god most fighters make great trainers dude. Through the whole process of learning martial arts you are always helping people out who aren't as good as you which helps solidify your own techniques while you learn new ones from people more advanced then you. I think with 10+ years in MMA Anderson can release as many training DVDs as he wants and I'm sure he's a great instructor.

@sonicanimalcrazy007 all true but i just dont see it happening with silva gsp usally starts his takedown with standup or he launches when his opponent plants themself to start throwing shots i dont think hes going to get past that and i know about his weakness vs wrestlers like dieju takase but cheal is a good wrestler and he was much bigger skilled and large gsp will just be skilled he wont have as much raw power. did you have as much fun as me watching the 5-1 champ lose?

lolz at all of you comparing bodybuilding and mma training. they are two entirely different sports! body builders dont throw around that heavy weight because they want to fight people and get in the cage, they want to BUILD THEIR BODY, hence bodybuilding. mma training is a different kind of animal...i spar with pro fighters 3 days a week, they lift no weights, i light weights 6 days a week, weigh about the same, am way stronger, and they still whoop my ass.

anderson silva is 36, he better make his next 2 years count,, his old, if he fights 6 fights in 2 years, and wins he can retired nowing his the best middle mma fighter ever... and quit at 38,,

@garrettxvx Oh, Muay Thai is a very respectable sport. It's been abused for so many times. I remember an old friend of mine saying that, when one does use Muay Thai, it is best to knock out your enemy as soon as possibly, as you may kill them in the progress whether you'd want to or not.

@salomon2002 technique matters a lot as well, i rolled with this guy 20 kilo lighter then me and tossed him about like a rag doll but still could not submit him, eventually he managed to sink a RNC and tapped me out. on the other hand i've tapped out people who have had a 30 kilo advantage on me... a lot of it boils down to skill and endurance.

@narezul Dont matter, we seen last night cain ran through brock and was alot smaller. Gsp would take silva to the ground and stay busy all over him for 25 mins and win on points, probably every round too. Silva is a great fighter dont get me wrong, but he struggles against wrestlers and they dont come much better that George in that department
