{MMD Tutorial} ~ How Interpolation Curve works in MMD

This is part tutorial part hack of understanding how to use the Interpolation Curve in MMD, the "motion smoothing" tool often used by animators to make their motions flow smoothly and realistically. This video is about how different types of curves affect the movement for a model and these are used to help with all kinds of areas for a smoother movement of the model.

I didn't realize the interpolation works on regular bones. For the longest time I only really noticed the smoothness with IK bones. Thanks for explaining this in a way that was actually easy to understand.

Thanks for the tutorial! I like it! It's a shame that all the characters models (Hetalia) are unavailable and it's impossible to use them in one animation

Do you have to register the curves manually or does it automatically register when you move it? Plus, if i add 2 points at 0 and 10, do I modify it at the last frame(10) or the first frame(0) because it’s different for each program.

When you move a bone and register it, you have to add the curve manually as it registers as a line without any curve automatically but you can change the curve and re-register and it was set the curve you added to said bone for that frame. And yes, when adding points at 0 and 10 for the bone, it's the last frame at 10 you modify 🙂 I hope this helps.
