In this week's MMT Pro Tip, I talk about the importance of testing Lateral Tibial Glide for Ankle Mobility. Often, many LQ issues will have difficulty efficiently loading the involved side. With a lack of lateral tibial glide, there often comes a lack of tibial internal rotation and ankle dorsiflexion. This may sensitize ankle, knee, hip or lumbar issues. Especially if someone responds to lumbar sideglides, and they have a lack of lateral tibial glide, I make sure to prescribe both resets on day 1.
This was a game changer assessment and reset for many lower quarter issues, from low back pain, to patellofemoral pain, runner's knee, hip impingement etc. Lmk how it works for you!
