For the evening Minnesota tornado drill of 2024, I decided to give Wykoff a try since I hadn't seen any videos of their sirens on RU-vid before. Fillmore County did something quite bizarre for this drill; they ran one town and a time and thus one test at a time, instead of activating all sirens at once. I'm not entirely sure why they would do this considering this is supposed to be the closest thing to a real tornado warning that there is, but to each their own I guess...
Fillmore County reached Wykoff at the end of their list at 6:54, a whole 9 minutes after the test warning was issued. Prior to Wykoff, I could hear Spring Valley running in the distance, however I can't seem to find where they went off in the video. I decided to add a little info-slideshow to give a small sense of the waiting I did here, just to make it more realistic for you guys.
Sirens in most of Minnesota are tested on the first Wednesday at 1PM, and SWA is run on a given Thursday in April at 1:45PM and 6:45PM.
