I'm one of the folks who'll always be stuck on the nostalgia train when it comes to Mnemic. I mean I named my fracking RU-vid account after my (obviously) favorite album by them! Never the less, I still love the dudes in Mnemic and I definitely support them making music and this is still pretty decent! I mean the Mnemic fanbase is so strong for a reason, right? :D
I think you say it how it is regarding the bad marketing mate.. sadly :( ...I realised that with them. Despite the fact their one of my favourite bands.I dont really care whats popular in metal culture tho.. so musical freedom is a luxury I always afforded myself. I strongly recomend others do the same aye?.. @@cravingmetal
exactly, that's the pinnacle of their carreer, heavy metal + cyberpunk vibes? and Bideau really found his own style here, side to side first and last album are immortal albums. There's no bands like this now...
The clean vocals throughout the entire album are beautiful; huge imporovement there, mixed with classic Mnemic time signatures and heaviness... so good to see them progressing and getting better with each album!
i still prefer the old mnemic, the next mnemic, and all mnemic in the mnemic history. different members, different sounds, but is the same perfect MNEMIC. this is more than a simple band of metal. thank you mnemic THANK YOU!!! THE BEST VIDEO IN THIS YEAR, THE BEST SONG, THE BEST BAND in my world. thank you.
Some people say Korn and Slipknot were there bands from their childhood but in my case it was Mnemic! Loving them since the year they start, They are different now but for me they will always Mnemic!!
Just discovered this band. And they kick some serious ass! They're got quite unique sound with a blend of Groove/alt metal with jazz. And the guy at 04:10 looks like dwayne johnson.
Anyone miss old Mnemic? Check out Michael Bogballe's band Scamp. That is about as close to the intensity of early Mnemic that I've heard yet and he's just as fucking bad ass as ever in it.
Everyone hears music differently obviously...because despite many negative comments regarding this album IMO this is easily their best. It is not often that I love every single song on the album but it has happened with this one.
Exactly! Guillaume is good at writing albums, he pours his entire heart into EVERY song. And I didn't feel that with the older Mnemic albums with Michael AT ALL.
Mnemesis is a great album from start to finish and i think its right up there with the audio injected soul.i like that this album is more melodic than their last.Vocals are spot on and its a rocking album.
well, then listen to the rest of the album, Mnemic are still heavy, their music is just alot more diverse now then it was before, so there are one or two songs that sound softer, but theyre still great
Haha Wow well I really dug this album when it first came out however it wasn’t until many years later it cemented it’s place as one of my favorites possibly ever. Casually scrolling through the comments and I can see mine from six+ years ago when the video first came out it’s pretty surreal it’s been that long. I don’t mind people hate it, maybe they’ll never get it and I’ll always have this gem to myself. Also I seemed to make a comment that said “tool reference” and it appears a year later Adam Jones posted a link to this video and although I’m thinking really hard I seriously have no idea what I was that reference is. Must be here somewhere I’ll try to access my memories and see if I can remember what I was talking about! Ehh I’m just reminiscing. This video will forever remind me of my high school days.
I've been listening to this album recently after quite a while and it's an ok album. All of their albums are decent at minimum. I'm a fan since Mechanical Spin Phenomena (their best imo and it's a great album) and although Michael was a better fit, their discography still stands. I love all the Meshuggah influences. Those groobes..👌
Carlos Ferreira hell yeah meshuggah is one of the greatest and certainly a fave of mine. Funny how opinions vary, I loved the raw aggression of the older stuff like mechanical spin but there’s just something about the cleanliness and like futuristicness of this album that makes it one of my top 5 ever. It just feels pure idk. I’ll listen to it forever.
@@illlanoize23 your interpretation of this album is so perfect. Is there somewhere we can connect to talk in detail about the Guillaume Bideau Mnemic albums ? They're so underappreciated and it's hard finding people who are into them. But to me it's some of the best music ever composed.
I dug this album a bit more then the past two. I always felt Guillaume was pressured way to much to sound like Micheal on some songs and others not at all. We all love Micheal and miss him. Though, to continue to complain about it isn't going to bring him back. I'm glad Guillaume is finally settling in the band. Mirecea is an experimentalist. He isn't going to want to make the same album twice. I think this guys are back on a solid track.
Have not seen one good upload from all these big ass metal labels, Nuclear, Century or Metalblade for more than a month now, except Mnemic never disappointing me.
I actually like it, but it's just usual industrial metal now, not anymore the awesome experimental Mnemic we used to know. Still I believe it's worth the listen.
This albums owns old Mnemic, completely blown away over how amazing this album turned out! He fixed the shitty screams and sang more decently, and boy the music is a whole lot better than their previous style. Thought it was gonna be another disappointment like the previous two albums.
I brought me here because I bought this album at launch and didn't know this music video came out -nods- bought all the other albums at launch too... and I don't even know who Adam Jones is...
Okay.. Reading through through these bullshit comments about this being generic, boring, not brutal enough saddens me. I thought the metal crowd would have grown the fuck up like i did. I have followed mnemic from the get go and this is the best i have ever heard them. The musician ship is so much better and diverse. Sadly i used to be the same tight assed metal fan talking bullshit. But that was when i was 15!!
