So true. From start to finish for me the magic happens when that paper comes out from the printer and I can look at my work while holding it in my hands. There's just something about it.
Hi John, thanks a lot for this information. I am just testing the moab papers. so, am i right: for test printing you gonna use the lasall photo matt 235? an then you can find your decissions? So, sorry, but i am completley new to printig, the moab papers i think i will like a lot! so i want to make some test prints an then make a decission. lg Klaus

@@JohnColdSnap Hi John,, nice to hear from you. Yes, I've been a little "busy" in the meantime and after some "bloody experiences" I've bought a number of papers from Moab, which I can now handle quite well and am satisfied. All the best.
thanks for this, John! I love your images. You and Christian have such an amazing talent. I hope to one day make it up to a class or two of yours (I'm in NW Wisconsin). Forgive me for the newb question, but I was under the impression that printed photos did not have the longevity of quality that a printing lab would have. Do you find this to be the case? Also..do you use a special ink for this?
Cori--it depends upon the printer, inks, and paper used. If you use archival inks and papers (which is what I use and Moab papers are) then these prints will last much much longer than prints from a photographic print lab. I use both Epson and Canon professional printers which have archival inks. Thanks for the comments I appreciate it!
