to me his voice was the perfect Emcee's voice, thats why if you notice a lot of rappers sampled his vocals, especially the infamous and hell on earth era
Just compare Prodigy's voice in this video with his voice in shook ones and then compare that with Street life. You'll feel like it's three different people rapping Anyways , Mobb Deep forever !!
The Street Life was recording from a Clue mix. Like most tapes at the time, theyre at a higher pitch a faster BPM than the wax version. His voice was the same. As for the live performances, theyve always shouted on the mic. Even back in '95. His whole inflection def switched after HNIC. But he's still ill af.

I love Hip Hop but attending this kind music shows sometimes feels like listening to the cd with all your friends. You don't get to see the band actually playing the music like a rock and roll band or a jazz where you see at least the drummer, 2 guitar player, keyboardist and background vocals. It's only the DJ and the MC's playing the same stuff recorded on the cd.
