I’ve told people that west coast started gangsta rap but east coast perfected it! The darkest, gloomiest beats to match the hardcore and relatable lyrics, Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep knew how to take street life and put it to a beat.

When the crowd is waiting for Papa Doc to spit, and when he forfeits, the energy in the room as this beat plays is bananas. I wish I could go to an underground rap battle like this. If anyone knows of one in the Tampa or Florida West Coast area, let me know.
