Mobile home resident recalls riding Ian out in a pickup 

So emotional listening to this lady.

She said she lost her roof but other people had it worse. She is so humble. She is remarkable.

Mobile home parks are lovely communities, as this one clearly is too. And this woman is resilient and very very lovely too.

In the darkest hour the unity in the community is so beautiful.

This is one of the reasons why we all have to be grateful always of what we have and appreciate everything around us because not all people have what we have. Thank God this lady are safe as well as her son and their 2 precious dogs.

The coverage from this station has been excellent. Praying for the ones who have suffered. And the ones who have died.

I'm so emotional listening to her . . . not only scary, but so so sad. This is really like a bomb went off. This storm was so strong and with so much water. I pray for everyone going through these hard times!

That poor family. I road out the hurricane alone is a sturdy, concrete block house with aluminum panels over my windows and I was scared to death. Can't begin to imagine the fear they felt in that pickup truck.

That’s great that neighbors helping neighbors !! I’d be afraid if I had to rely on my neighbors and I live in Jacksonville!!!! This is refreshing to see in a world full of selfish and lazy people !!!!

Such a sad but beautiful story of hope. She speaks the truth. People who don't have much always help one another with the little they have. They stand together and share even when it is their last.
