The cone idea along with the upside down supports is actually pretty brilliant. I really like that fact the cabinet can roll with it if it's only raised half way. Very nice.
I'm a simple man - I see a Rings Workshop shop organization video, I stop what I'm doing and queue it up to watch. Like the other comments mention, great idea on the cones. That's what I like about your videos, I can always count on you having a clever and creative approach to problem solving!
Extremely clever use of the inverted cones to self-center. Seen it before with round pegs but cones are so much better - far more tolerant of finding the sweet spot to lower down and lock into place Reversing the adjustable feet to point upwards - genius - never seen that done before.
I built a cabinet under the wing of my saw as well. However I already had a router table in that wing. So I built the cabinet with a hole or a horseshoe near the top to accommodate the big router and lift mechanism. To move the saw, I need to pull router out of the table and both are then free to move on their own.
I've watched about a dozen different takes on table saw storage, but this is the one that ticks all the boxes and I'll be modeling my solution after. Nice work!
Great work. Now I must scrap my saw cabinet for yours. Love your thought process with trial and error. That's how it should be done and it's a trademark of good engineering.

Both cabinets turned out beautiful, clean and I like how they’re almost hidden in a way because they go so well with the table saw! Very smart solutions to joining to the table saw. My tablesaw is much smaller but I do need cabinets one for a router set up and I have a new bandsaw that I’d like to use but I need its own home and this cabinet is short enough it’d work well
Another video that demonstrates why we love your work and channel. Unique and creative ideas in the recessed casters, leveling “feet” and the cone solution to both aligning and moving the cabinet, and the full disclosure of what you tried that failed. Keep it up!

Thanks for this video. When I bought my saw stop I built a platform in the same shape as the base. It sits on top of the mobile base. Then the saw sits on top of the platform. It’s about 4 inches high and makes table saw stop a comfortable height for me. I had to extend the legs on the right side of the saw. I did this with some triangular brackets at the top of each leg. It worked well and I like it but I like this solution much better.
Thank you! I did the same thing with the platform but only 3” (partly height for me, mainly height for bench I use as an outfeed table). Been really happy with the cabinet so far.
The one thing that keeps me feom doing a cabinet like this is a router table attachment. It hangs down and wouldnt allow for a cabinet. You mentioned you planned to still incorporate a router to your table. Id love to see how you did that.
The next video show I put it on the other side. Had a lot of debate on how I was gonna set it up but ultimately I wanted more space with the router table and the other side was against the wall.

Love it! Great ideas! I am working on a storage cabinet design for my Grizzly table saw that I just refurbished. I hate looking at that wasted space! Only problem I have is that the entire saw is on wheels (including outfeed table). You have been an inspiration to my channel as I am changing my man cave garage to a woodworking shop.

You’re me in the future. You’ve see comment before but holy cow, you think just like me. These are the things I am working out in my shop but just a year behind you. I thought about this when you did the miter saw dust block. All you need is to get rid of every single open metal tool stand that comes with tools and build a WoodSmith inspired drill press cabinet.
Wonderful well engineered work. I have still to build my version of this inspired by your idea. I probably will turn instead of 3d print as I don’t have one. But brilliant. It has lately been pissing me off that people have been using your idea and claiming as their own. I am sure life catches up more than YouTubing but hope to see more content sometime. Great build video - definitely need to consider this - just feedback, I had to go back to your old video to remember how you propped the saw 3 inches higher. When you make the router table video, please just show a screenshot of that modification.

No. It’s one of the more expensive ones from Home Depot, but I only got a quart and not a gallon, but the one I thought it was doesn’t come in a quart and it isn’t showing in my Home Depot purchases. Ugh. I’m going to have to stop in there because I know exactly where the can was so I’ll link it soon. I apologize for that.
Nice i have been tossing around how to put a cabinet under my sawstop. Now i am going to have to buy a 3D . Just so I can copy this setup. For my gripper blocks, push sticks, extra cartridges, dado stack, etc
@@jwar2163 funny you ask that, I have been doing some research on one myself. I have put a lot of money in upgrades on this one and honestly I would have been better off just buying a nicer quality one. I think a few things to look at are bed size…for instance I would love to be able to print insert plates for my SawStop, but the bed isn’t big enough. All metal hotend, dual gear extruder/direct drive, pei bed plate, auto bed leveling, and I want linear rails as they can move faster than belt driven, so it would allow me to print faster. There are a lot of things to look at, nice thing is you can buy a cheaper one and upgrade most parts as you go…other than bed size really. Long story short, even if you go a little less expensive now, you can always invest more into it to upgrade it along the way if you want, again other than the size of your bed.
Love your explanations of thought processes behind your projects. New woodworker here, trying to get a decent clamp setup for my French cleat wall. I like the look of yours, but cannot make out details. Is it possible to get a pic or two of different angles of one of yours, with and without clamps so I can mimic?
Just curious... I was looking for plans regarding your under saw cabinet. Are you not selling plans for this? How about the cones. Would you consider selling those already made? If not. No worries. Nope I’m still here! Put a set of plans out last week, have three more coming over next month (including the one you referenced) along with another video! Just taking some time this summer to get some other projects done that I didn’t make into videos that maybe I could have (installing mini split, garage floor tile, soon to be resurfacing the deck), but there are so many videos out there on those topics, and I’m no expert in those areas, I didn’t make them into videos. I have thought about selling printed parts, but that is still in the works. The STL file is on my thingiverse site for free download if you have a 3D printer, or know someone that does.

They stopped making it apparently, or rebranded it I should say. It was one of the top end Behr or Glidden paints that quote one coat coverage prime and paint. I’m sure they have it named something else, of course it was one out of like 200 purchases I made at Depot I used a gift card on so they can’t look it up.

Hello!…and thank you! I use it all the time still, it just isn’t large enough for that size hole saw unfortunately so I take it off for the few times I use larger bits or hole saws.
Awesome. I've been trying to figure out how to do that. I have the router wing on the 36 inch table. Do you have any plans? I'll need to modify for my router but that's easy.
I will at some point, they will need modified since mine is 3” taller than most will be. My next video will be on the router cabinet I made as well so I planned on getting plans together for both of those.

I will have plans up over next few weeks, I will preface it with a reminder that I raised my saw up 3” so you would need to adjust the height of the cabinet for that and likely just have one less drawer. The cones were 3D printed. I plan on making those available at some point soon as well. I’ll let you know when I get those posted, I need to take the time to make a thingiverse account and I’ll get it posted.
Depot stopped carrying it, or it was replaced by something else. But the stuff I actually used is not in the stores anymore. Used a quart for both my cabinets under my table saw/router wing…amazing stuff. I want to say it had Diamond in the name and was a one coat primer and paint, but closest thing I’ve found only comes in a gallon now.
I had planned on making them but I was worried about it being 3” too tall for most people and being confusing. Still plan on getting back to making plans, I’ll add this to the list.
@@MarkLasbyCNC I have not made them yet, due to my saw being 3” taller than normal I was worried it would be confusing. I will add it to my list as I get back into making plans again soon.
@@RingsWorkshop Do not rush on my account. I drew my own plans and cut list for a slight variation of your design. I can send you photos when I complete the cabinet. i wanted 6" on top of the cabinet to store my cross cut sled and I did not bother with the space between the casters. I also left 6" of space on the back to hang a couple of other jigs. Thank you for all of the great ideas. I like to buy plan from creators like you to support you.
They discontinued it from what I can gather. I'm going to be painting another project all black in the next month or so, so I'm going to see what they have or if something replaced it. If it works as well I'll post that here.
I did not make plans as my table saw is on a 3” riser and was worried people would buy it to use with normal height saw and feel this was misleading as it wouldn’t work for them without modifications. Still may in the future and put a disclaimer on it, but that’s why I haven’t yet.
@RingsWorkshop please do add them with a disclaimer! I just bought mine today and was looking for a solution to the dead space on the right. I'd definitely buy plans and get busy asap!
