Should bring some extra plate in your truck at all times. I always carry 3/8 and 1/2 plate for jobs like this. Then you can fab some new plates for that and make it look better and last longer. But that should last long enough for him to get the job done and then you can get it fixed 100%

No no no! That was all bad! I know its a hurry up and get it done but that thing needed a ton of plate thrown at it. Like cut out new boss mounds and fish plate over top of that. Not a bunch of wide ass stress fracture hillbilly weaves!

I weld on heavy equipment daily and sometimes you're limited on what can be done in the field. It is what it is.. when they want something done txt book its back to the shop. You're doing fine man.

Don't worry about the looks it's a job done right it'll hold

Dude those things are ran until it has every plug nickel run out of them. Then they break and it then becomes an emergency. Low downtime and constant abuse means frantic day when shit breaks.
