One insane thing that happened is at the very first game is that your opponent didn't get a discounted raft card duo to your MMM, the card they got was at full cost of 6, if they had it discounted they would have played it rather that just waving on 5... The other thing happened at the 3rd game with Miles, with MMM he doesn't return to his original 5 cost after discounting to 1 cost no matter what.
Yeah, I learned the hard way about swarm LOL. I assumed it was considered a whole new card that was 0 cost. A bit weird its considered to be reduced cost since the text doesnt make it seem like that
2nd season in a row I hit infinite with one of your decks. Last month was the Goblin/Prof X/Orca build. I keep getting stuck at 90-95 with my own builds. I appreciate your creative genius getting me over the hump. This deck is seriously crazy. I only bought Mobius because of this video, and really glad I did. A sleeper OP card while no one else has it.
Wait, at 12:00 Miles cost didn’t increase back to 4 even though there wasn’t any move on the previous turn. Seems lime a really powerful Mobius interaction
That deck is easily beaten and countered thats why....they cant hit shuri again because they already did and they cant take away ongoing effects.....what they can do I think is make sauron only hit the cards in your hand and not in your deck....make it on reveal instead of ongoing .....I dunno if that will ever happen though....sounds like a good change though tbh
@@DickTracy-zi3iu oh I'm not saying Shuri Sauron should be nerfed. I absolutely love that deck, I've been playing it nonstop. I guess my og comment sounded salty, but I'm just pointing out that Mobius doesn't affect Sauron at all since that deck usually doesn't care about energy reduction. I might throw MMM as a swap in for armor.
i think Mobius was the most needed card. There are hard counters to destroy, ongoing and on reveal, but cost discount/increase had only one enemy/friend, wave. But Mobius opens up so much more options while also limiting other popular playlines. I think the longterm effect is that it broadens the amount of viable decks, rather than ruining decks. Right now he'll be really oppressive, but that's the newness. When things settle, he's just an amazing addition.
The problem is he is a good card both for offensive if your opponent doesn't have it, and defensive. Maybe we needed 2 cards, do do this effects on a separate way. Or maybe remove some power, since he's effect is already good enough. Main problem right now is that he kills many decks, and doesn't affect much the much prevalent one which is loki.
@@Rortheri think he should just effect both players. Make it so one Mobius means no players cost can be effected positively or negatively. I honestly thought that was what he was gonna do all thr way up till launch day lol. Just keep him a defensive card.
All I know is with the amount of Destroy decks I have been facing, it's nice to be able to stop Death from being played. Also pretty satisfying when you drop a Mobius the turn your opponent decides to pass to try to get out a cheaper she-hulk.
I would swap Cap Marvel for Rogue. If the opponent drops a Mobius early and you don't draw yours, you can just steal theirs while shutting them down with a Wave play. Marvel is neat, but the nerf really makes her effect hard to activate, and having an extra ensurance against Mobius-Wave decks really goes a long way
I'll be teching rogue alongside MMM and Wave for people that run MMM out early, though it seems like most will run him out on T5. Wave MMM is obnoxious as a combo. MMM should be 3 energy and Ravonna 2, they'd be much more balanced.
I used a version of this where I replaced Alioth with Magneto and Angela with shadow king and hit infinite, it worked way too well. Shadow king lets you counter some crazy shuri or venom stuff
@@Rin-ix9dl I honestly haven't seen her once at infinite or conquest for weeks. There was that safetyblade deck that played her but honestly thought that was terrible
I think they should change it so alioth is always revealed second. They could buff the stats so it’s not a huge nerf, but it just seems more fun if you can actually have a chance to see your cards go off before they’re deleted.
Honestly he's like any other tech card. He exists which makes certain strategies riskier. After the week one shock n awe passes hell be another Luke, Cosmo, Echo ... cards that get played where they fit anyway.
@@circle7538 dunno man, I have gotten mileage out of Echo. I think because nobody plays her people forget she's on the board. I can't tell you how many Devil Dinos and Knulls people have played on my CLEARLY Echo'd lanes.
With how impactful MMM is, I would have expected him to be 6k tokens. It honestly would’ve been better to make this impactful card be 6k tokens so there wouldn’t be an over-saturation thus making him less impactful.

I genuinely believe the problem was never Loki but Alioth being such a fun police to play against because there's not much you can do on six against him.
Okay hear me out, you can actually play morb wave, and then combo it with Zola and Odin, and that males the enemy cant play any big cards while you dump big cards, but kinda hard to achieve since all 4 cards needs to be in hand on turn 3/4
I like him w ironlad as the four drop miles feels bad because he gets hit by opp mobius. I also kinda dislike this card its opposite loki vibes, where it comes down to who draws mobius early. But I guess we need to see if rogue and mana generation keeps it in check.
i am a new player i was thinking of completing my destroy deck (im still on collection level 1300 or smth) for that i need knull,alioth,galactus,x23,daken,nimrod etc etc. I read in the patch notes that there is a rotation coming up for knull and alioth so i started saving up , i have saved 3 spotlight catches for now, would you recommend me to go for tech cards like mobius to counter meta or go for the big boys to complete an archetype first ?
Can't wait to pick up Mobius! I'm a control player at heart in most card games and he lines up perfectly with helping control the game. I think we might see a resurgence of Enchantress to counter him if the meta gets too tilted, but Cosmo can also come in if that happens!
This card already got me dehydrated when people use it with Wave. Yeah Wave sucked but it gave both players an equal footing, with Mobius not only does one player get an advantage but the other player gets an additional disadvantage.
I dunno if he ruins it but they will have to make some real ota adjustment, and a lot of them lol like death is unplayable unless you also play MMM.....And if everyone dont get him i think it might cause more problems then good tbh , I didnt pick him up yet because I really want legion but I might pick him up just because playing without him will just feel useless....right now atleast...I just thought even if both people play MMM death still cant be played lol rip death
Card is actually broken, the intro part talking about how if they have a mobius they'll be fine when you Wave. I played a match and we both have Mobius down and my Death was still stuck at 8 despite multiple destroys so not sure if it's intended with an uncancellable ongoing effect or a broken interaction with her...
@@Tairashimuzu Nah but the wording says your cards cant have their cost increased, YOUR opponents can't have their cost decreased, why wouldn't they cancel out? as far as I'm concerned they fucked up entirely with the description of the effect if not implementing it.

Mobius seems like a problematic card. Like it has a bunch of cool interactions, but if you Mobius T2 and Wave T3 and your opponent doesn't have Enchantress or Mobius in play then their cards are locked at 4. That kills archetypes like Bounce and Sera. Its like old Galactus making Cosmo almost required, but Mobius is locked away behind Spotlight Caches.
They'll likely make it so he cant be used offensively like that at some point. With all the crazy ways to lower cards cost and speed up the ramp, snap pretty much needed a card like this to exist.
Yeah if Mobius morphs the meta even more I'mma just take that as a sign and stop playing. Don't feel like investing money into cards when you don't know if they'll get nerfed or not and having to spend to keep up sounds mad lame.
I assume Second Dinner had some massive brain drain in the past few months. There is absolutely no reason for 3M to have a 2/3 stat line, 2/1 would be crazy bonkers for an asymmetrical effect like this. Ravonna could have launched at 3/7 and would still be worse. Absolutely incredible how out of touch and unbalanced these recent card releases beginning with Loki have been.
Hate is strong word. It’s frustrating but it’s pretty preventable, and a necessary card for the game. If you’re getting into a position where your opponent can play a single card and win, you’ve likely already lost and should have retreated earlier.
I have 5.4k tokens. Do I get mobius or alioth? Sadly I was unlucky with spotlights past couple weeks so didn't get ravonna, alioth or zabu from them, but super lucky the weeks before, so I feel it kinda balances out.
I’m in the same boat as you, I normally play Aero as a replacement but that doesn’t work here haha, so you can play Chavez to hit your combo, Ultron as a mini Doom, Magneto to move their mid cards, Gambit as a mini Alioth, or Orka for just power
