During his time in the mafia he worked in adult films as a producer. Kenji would also secretly sell drugs as well. After years in the mob Kenji turned informant and wore a wire against the Colombo, Lucchese, and Los Angeles crime families. He would then go into the witness protection program. Tommy DeSimones ( of the Goodfellas fame) grandfather, Rosario DeSimone was boss of the L.A. crime family, prior to Jack Dragna. And Tommy's uncle Frank DeSimone succeeded Dragna as boss.

He was an informant who testified against Teddy Persico and Sonny Franzese. Sonny was 93 or something. Sonny’s son ratted on him at the same time.

He got a 50 year sentence 1967 while he was the underboss thats why they denoted him back to captain. Persico became the boss 1973 when Joe colombo was shot and sonny was still in prison. If he was still the underboss and out there who knows Maybe he would have became the boss

And the reason why joe Colombo became the boss was because Joe bonnano and the boss for the Profaci family (that later became the Colombo family ) Joseph Magliocco had plans to assasin the heads of the other familjs . Magliocco gave the hits to his top assassin Joe Colombo who revealed the plans tp the commission . För that they Made Colombo the boss
