Moby's 'A Case For Shame' is the first track to be released from his new album 'Innocents', which comes out on 1 Oct and is available to Buy now:

The collaboration with Cold Specks is a directorial debut from Moby and was shot by him at his home in Los Angeles. It features the masked characters from the album cover, Cold Specks and Moby himself under water.
"the video has a specific meaning for me, but i'm hesitant to say what that is, as it might have a very specific meaning to you, and it's completely open to anyone's subjective interpretation. just because i made it doesn't mean that my interpretation of it is the right one. i'd love to hear what you think of it and what your interpretation is.
oh, and it goes without saying, but it's certainly not a big, commercial video... it's an experimental video, inspired by some of my early heroes of experimental film, like jack smith (who also inspired fellini and andy warhol, so i guess at the very least i'm in good company in citing jack smith as an inspiration, even if i'm clearly not fellini or andy warhol...)"

I swear Moby has something no other artist does. I guess he puts himself, his soul, into the music he makes, which is why it's always amazing. He's almost completely kept the original style he began with back in the early 80's.

this clip, this song, those lyrics, altogether are like a drug to me.. I can't stop watching, I need to replay like every time I listen to this. It's so weird i imagine a new story happening in the clip every time.. More details come out each time I relisten, around those 3 and a half minutes... Moby is a real artist to me, and with the voice of Cold Specks this is, hands down, a masterpiece.

Moby you are an absolute musical genius. You manage to create such tension and raw emotion with your music. Its truly amazing what you can do with a few synths and drum machines. I probably will tell that his songs are like seeds, at first time you hear you think "this song have something...", each time will hear it again the song grows like a beautifull and shinning flower, and then you think "what a song!" And it is because we can feel very of our life moments hearing this songs. Moby, the world can say: thanks for your talent. You don´t have to say nothing, please keep doing your songs, thank you.

My interpretation is:at the time of judgement, they will look at us, and our souls, and what we have done, and what we haven´t, when we could, and we wont we helped, because we don´t deserve to, innocents are dead because of our fault, because of our silence.. I agree with you. Moby's track have mesmerised me so many times. I listened to Porcelain the first time and I got the same strange feeling that I am having with a case for shame. The atmosphere is so delicate and enveloping. That voice is so good.

i think you are talking about yourself. Moby is just getting better, refining what he does best, which is almost everything. His eye for talent alone puts him in another class. Ever since Go was produced By Moby, i have luvd all his music, i am approaching 60 in a few months, Moby has a deep sence of musical talent that no other has, I love most electronic music always have, like Jean Michel Jarre, Tomita, Vangelis, and all the trance dance music, but Moby is in league of his own, just a kind soul who wants to share his musical talent. thank you Mr Moby.

those colors are amazing. esp like the views underwater, looking up. the colors! I like the masks: Hieronymus Bosch-y, Donnie Darko Frank-y...unsettling. The music is stuck in my head, and I'll be going back to listen and watch those colors and maybe to niggle that disturbing thing again. When I watch this video it feels like I touch something eternal, which I cannot exactly explain, but which at the same time gives answers to lots of questions. Even air bubbles are perfect - when they are floating in the water accompanied by amazing orchestral part of the song, it feels like there is an infinite beauty in each moment. Thank You for another musical and first visual (the art for wait for me is also fabulous) masterpiece.
