An updated mod guide for the Nerf Triad, achieving 130ft/s averages after modification. Mods include spring upgrade, catch improvements and dart-post removal for use of half-length darts.
Nice to see a clean, coherent, modern mod guide for an older blaster. I was unaware it had this much potential. Guess I ought to dig around and find mine, and give it a little upgrade.
Man you have the best nerf videos period.. mods yup.. games yup. Wars yup.. entertaining and very helpful.. man wish you the best to a million subscribers, your an awesome modder, explain everything so good my dog understands. Keep up the GREAT work bruh
@@BradleyPhillipsYT pretty well, I was getting around 90fps with a spring spacer, ar removal, and super gluing the empty ar assembly together to remove air leaks.
Many people don’t know this but the mega big shock is fully capable of operating with a rival spring. (I used the Apollo spring) this plus re barreling with pvc pipe for normal darts and it hits VERY hard.
The most powerful ( smaller than jolt) is probably the X-Shot Micro. Does 75fps out of the box. I got mine to 95fps with the AR removal. With a spring upgrade and maybe some brass it can definitely match this at half the size!!
I did a very simple mod to my jolt to fire half lengths but I noticed that it can fit 2 half darts and fire two darts at the same time quite well I wonder if the moded triad can do the same without breaking the smart air restrictor
Yes chronied with half lengths, full lengths aren't much different in velocity depending on which ones you use, but a lot of full lengths will usually spiral out of control.
I could not get that pin out for nothing. It’s still not out. I put a tiny spacer (about the size of a quarter) in below the stock spring and I got it to catch once. Not near as easy as I expected 😞 Update: So the spacer will work, but it can only touch the spring, and must not get in the way of the actual plunger at all. The trigger pin little needs to be tapped out with a hammer with something like an Allen key. Nothing crazy hard, but steady taps. Finally for the front orange portion on the barrel these is no screw, you have to drill through the rivet
Jolt with similar mod will only get about 60fps, the plunger volume is much smaller. The inside of a Bigshock is similar to a Jolt though and with this spring upgrade gets 160fps with a brass barrel.
Could*.... adding a small piece of PVC as a buffer for the spring add some power? Similar to how the caps work on the out of darts nexus pro caps? It’ll work but it has to only touch the spring, and avoid the plunger at all costs
My little dog loves to chase around nerf bullets but the elite disrupter we bought goes waaay too fast for him to even see if fly across the room to fetch. Any ideas of slow nerf guns?
1. When dart post removed can we fire full sized darts 2. Do we need upgrade spring for this i don't have money for this 3. 134 fps is safe for indoor wars and does it hurt
In the US we have these fake jolts that have better catches and a removable plunger head. I bet if I tried I could match your triad. As it is I went a different direction with the mod I did to my current on.
@@dimarziojazzyv5447 no. It has a far better catch and a removeable plunger head. Last I checked the heads of jolt plungers are pined on. And I wasn't trying to create a flame war. I'm just answing his question of can you think of a better smaller pistol. I could be wrong but I think with the right mods this could be...
I put a 7 kilo retaliator spring in mine and removed the dart post to fire stefans, the readings were a bit inconsistent but I recorded close to 300 with worker gen 2s
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Ehh, I've used Vaseline on my Flashlights O-rings. It depends on what Rubber they're made of. Latex Rubber will get eaten by Vaseline.
