one question i got is would the second gen is350 be a better first car or would the second gen is250 be a better first car? i know the only difference is really the power in the cars but im just wondering if it makes that much of a difference since i am trying to get either the is250 or 350 for my first car. Another thing is how is the gas on these cars? how much would it be to fill it up and how long does it be lasting? great video btw.
personally I actually got a 350 over a 250 when iwas looking for a daily and tbh the gas mileage isnt that different: 1 mpg top end and 2 mpg low end difference so its really not a huge deal. Some friends of mine have 250 and body wise they are basically the exact same but the 250 is just, more powerful 😅, and more fun imo. Also the 250 is only directed injected so there are some carbon buildup issues, the 350 has both so thats mitigated. So far the car is hella reliable as daily, minorly hard driving and highway miles mostly. Main maintenances would be transmission oil cuz toyota said "lifetime fluid" and left the transmission to slowly die, the rest would be normal car maintenance per se
350 all the way. 102 more horsepower and 93 more torque. 50% more hp and torque. Maybe 1-2mpg penalty. The is350 (5.0sec to 60mph) is closer to isf (4.6s) acceleration than it is to is250 acceleration (7.1s). Modern v6 sedans and minivans will smoke an is250. The 4.08 rear diff gear ratio is what really gives the is350 its great acceleration, allowing it to keep up with more powerful cars up until about 80mph. The is350 can play with V8 muscle cars off the line, street light to light racing. Especially if the V8 car is a manual and the driver isn't great...I took an older Mustang gt 5.0 coyote 0-70mph last week in my is350.
