Love how your entryway turned out but I really like the painting and how you put the brush strokes on there with the Mod podge! Love your videos! God bless
Great tutorial. I was a little confused about top coating, but I think I have it now. I also like all the examples you gave for projects at the end; you made me glad I bought the larger container, ha ha!
Thanks guys for a PERFECT and informative video....love all of your vids........one thing tho: The music was absolutely DEAFENING and too annoying......Softly in the background would have been so much more enjoyable. Not a question for me to turn the vol down...it also turns your voices down......so during the record.....alot LESS music...please. Thanks so much for sharing you great info and talents....the both of you. Ken from Orlando, FL
you guys look great together, work great together; you get to the point, easy instructions, cover all points, professional speaking and posture, i would totally watch your tv show... (turn down the music, though. overpowers the voices)
wow 5 years ago but yea youre soo right the music distracts my Oh look theres a squirel attention spankings .. such mod many podge very music so crafts amaze!
Great video! Which Mod Podge did you use for the scrabble piece? Would you guys be willing to do a tutorial with that technique and specific mod podge? Thank you.
I have a ? Did u say go in one direction? Because in the video you went 2 directions then across back and forth on finishing coat? Hoping you can let me know
Hi some advice please: I have seen a lot of guidance which gives advice to spray the paper with water before placing onto the wood. I want to add wrapping paper to a balsa box lid - any comments please? Thank you in advance
Can the same technique be used on an alcohol ink abstract to attach it to a wood plank? The alcohol ink is already seal with varnish - should I still mod podge it after I affix it to wood??? Thanks!
Mod Podge is a type of glue. It says on the jar that it's a waterbase sealer, glue and finish. By the colours on the label it looks like gloss Mod Podge, but I really don't know.

QUESTION: In the 70's, we Decoupaged some paper/posters/maps to stained (only) wood, that WE REALLY LIKE. (We cannot find replacements for them) The items have turned a dark amber color that is hard to see through. (One has “streaked” a light and dark amber) (1) Is there any process that these aged decoupage pieces can be safely lighted or brightened up?
Can printed paper also be used with modge podge like napkins are I'm talking like roses or feathers or any flowers or anything that's printed on regular paper
Looks like they’re using just the classic Mod Podge brand mod podge. It is a glue. There’s the classic, gloss, matte, photo, etc. You can easily Google which one you’d need for your specific project, but the classic mod podge is usually the go to. Edit: just realized this comment is 8 years old. You probably figured it out by now... I hope lol.
If I'm using adhesive stickers to stick onto grosgrain ribbon will I still need to add some mod podge as a base before I add the stickers? Or can I just stick the stickers onto the ribbon then go over it with the mod podge?
QUESTION 3: WHICH WOULD YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE FOLLOWING PROCESS, IF IT CAN BE DONE?? (2) HOW DOES MOD PODGE--compare to Decoupage? (3) Can we ROUGH UP the surface of the aged amber decoupaged pieces and Put THE NEW POSTERS ON TOP OF THE OLD? (4) Will the Mod Podge ADHERE TO THE OLD DECOUPOGE FINISH? (5) What happens to the Mod Podge up over time? (6) Will the Mod Podge, do something else weird or turn amber with time like the Decoupage? (7) Or would we be better to go with the Decoupage again?
HELP! So I did everything right (I think) at gluing some scrapbook paper onto a clipboard let it dry over night just to be safe came back the next day to do my top coat and instantly there was huge bubbles. what happened? the only thing I can think is the paper is too thin because I don't have any problems with the thicker paper. UGH
Hello! It seems as though one step may have been missed. To properly adhere paper to a clipboard, it is best first to apply Mod Podge to the backside of the paper cutout as well as to the front of the clipboard. Flip paper cutout over and position in place where desired. Smooth in place to remove excess Mod Podge, captured air pockets and paper wrinkles. To smooth, you can use your hands moving from the center outward, however, the best way is to use a Mod Podge smoothing tool like the brayer or squeegee. I also have a tip of laying a sheet of waxed paper between the surface and the smoothing tool. If there is any excess Mod Podge squeezed to the surface edge, the waxed paper will catch it, also smoothing against the waxed paper is smooth and easy. Remove the waxed paper and allow the decoupaged surface to rest 15 - 20 minutes. No need to wait overnight. Next, apply a topcoat of Mod Podge over the entire surface. I find it best to apply a smooth, thin application rather that a heavy one. If desired, a couple additional applications can be applied once dry. I believe you may have not released the captured air pockets.
Hello I have a question I can't find an answer to... would you know if you are able to apply mog pog to a table top as I love the shine and put over a a waterproof varathane to make it safe and waterproof?? Thank you for reading... hope you have an answer. Karen 🤛
Thanks so much!! For the scrabble tile we used Mod Podge gloss with a top coat of Dimensional Magic. We have a video coming up that features all the formulas of Dimensional Magic. :)
Hi, i have pre adhesive wallpaper (I need to soak it in water first to activate glue). But I don't find it sticks nicely. If I put this glue on my kitchen cabinets first, and then apply wet wallpaper, to finish with more mod podge on top for finishing... Is this possible?
Can I ask I’m new to this I have a clear and a glossy mod Podge do both dry clear ? And I want to stick something on a wardrobe with chalk paint under neath will it still dry clear
If I wanted to paint something on the paper after I've Mod Podged it to the wood and I don't have "a couple of hours" to wait for it to dry, is 30 mins an ok time? I'm having a party and people are going to be able to choose whatever they want to put on it, which is why I can't paint the letter before the paper goes on.
Hi Art, if you want it to look wrinkly and bubbly before it dries, one of the best ways to get that effect is crumple up the paper, then flatten it out. Then use the Mod Podge. It will dry with that effect.
Hi I like to use the mod podge to put napkin paper on a canvas bag. I applied the fabric tissue mod podge on the canvas bag then put the napkin paper on it. After it dries I apply couple coats of outdoor mod podge as sealer. May I know can I wash the tote bag?
