Hey what's up everyone! This video is an overview of the Mods that you can do to your Audi A4 using OBDEleven to make changes to the ECU and software. OBDEleven is known for being a cheap, but useful alternative to the more expensive VAG COM. There are many different modifications that you can do with OBDEleven on the A4. This includes things like disabling the Auto/Start Stop function, 2nd phone support, Parking break auto release, comfort windows open and close, MMI Start up screen, and many others. I was actually really surprised at the number of mods that you can do with OBDEleven on the A4. There are many more options than what's offered for the S3 that I drive every day.
If you're looking for a cheap VCDS Replacement, definitely check out OBDEleven. I've been using the solution for a few years now and I absolutely love it. Do you need the prestige to change the colors of the cup holder or does it work with premium plus (b9 A4 s-line premium plus)

You can change quite a few of those same things on your S3 using long coding; they just haven't set up "apps" for them for the S3 yet. It's just a bit trickier to do it using the long coding, but you don't use up app credits. The apps are just basically running macros that execute certain long coding functions without you having to know where in the modules and long coding/adaptations to find and change them.

You can already do that with a full color wheel under the 'Vehicle' option in MMI

The reason you can choose between a s4 a4 or rs4 logo is because sometimes headunits can be upgraded from a donor vehicle for more options and it starts up with an s4 logo and you have an a4 for example

Is there a way to flash in RGB control? My 2017 A4 Premium Plus doesn't have the lighting package, but when I lock/unlock, those LEDs turn red. So they are RGB, the software is just limiting my control.

how did you get your A4 interior lights to cycler across diff colors? I just got the 2019 S4 P+ and trying to figure out if i can do that with the OBDeleven

It is a setting in obdeleven. I believe it was something like demo mode. Unfortunately that setting resets after the vehicle shuts off.

Yes. Unfortunately it does reset after you turn the car off. It’s basically a demo/test mode.

Is it possible to code via OBD the ambient lights for multicolour ambient lights. I have a s5 b9, but only with white colour ambient lights.

I have been reading that if you shut off your car in dynamic that when you turn it back on that the mode will say dynamic but the engine exhaust and throttle response reverts back to comfort. You then have to cycle through the drive select and re select dynamic to get the entire car back functioning as the true dynamic . Is this something you have heard before ?

My S5 does this, but as soon as you put the gearbox into ‘S’ the valves open again and the car is back in real Dynamic, no need to cycle through the Drive Select modes.

Tim Howard the valves opening is totally different than the ECU adjusting it’s perimeters back in to dynamic once you cycle through your drive select . I read this directly from an Audi techs reply email.

yo for this just pull back on your shifter lightly without pressing the actual shift button when you are driving, and itll shift into dynamic again properly

I didn’t see anything related to the exhaust in the apps but you can probably long code the exhaust flaps to stay open all the time.

Hello, I would like to enable Apple car Play/Android Car Play and parking assistant in Audi A4 Avant 2018 model. Is that possible? But I have only charging port usb not with data transfer. Will it work If I modify usb charging port? For parking assistant, I don't have parking assistant button but rest all hardware available like MFC camera, rear camera and parking sensors.

Not 100% sure but I don’t think so for the CarPlay. Pretty sure that requires specific hardware to enable it. As for the parking assistant you may be able to do that since the hardware is there.

What are your thoughts on the NextGen version of OBDeleven that has the iPhone support? I’ve been waiting for that! Also does this let you roll up the windows from the remote without having to stand and hold the lock button on the handle? That would be great.

Yes I can roll my windows up with the remote. Should be a setting in OBDEleven. I’m really excited for the NextGen version. Just waiting for my test unit to come in. There have been some delays in production so I might not get it until later this year.

Yes. I was able to find the S1 in the application. Shows model year 2015...... so I think that means it covers anything 2015 or newer.

The inly thing I want is being able to change the color of the ambient lighting! I have a premium plus but I think only the prestige has the option to change the color. Wil this OBD11 help me?

Haven’t checked myself. If you have an android device you can download it for free and look at the supported vehicles.

I have the pro version, but I’m honestly not sure if the sport display or g force work with the A lineup of cars.

I have a UK spec MY2018 S5 and can confirm that whilst you can switch the G meter on with an app, it doesn’t do anything as in the UK only the RS models have the sensors I believe.
