Modal Argon 8 Wavetable Synth Overview 

I bought one and now I'm watching this to learn more about it. I'm a visual learner, so this video is very helpful.

This is a quality high end sounding synth for exceptional value for money. Also it is not a rompler go buy the Korg wavestate if you want robotic sounds as this is different synth altogether,.

I just ordered one of these, cant wait to play around with it.

I'd like to read comments one day on synths where there is no criticism of the video or the product!! Also when people want things added that aren't on the synth!! Embrace the product if you don't just don't buy it and move on!! This is a lovely synth!! Even if it wasn't i'd shut up and move on to the next one!! Too many negative people in this world so shhhhhh

I been saving for a Matriarch. I looked at the Argon8 last Summer, already a follower of Modal's Synths. But I veered away and even thought of a Wavestate by Korg. Then the other day I looked in again and saw an Argon8X on offer. Full on 61 keys and I thought, now there, be a synth with a full on capability to get really involved with and not frustrated by lack of octaves. Korgs Wavestate is a top contender but when you get right down to it, you could get lost in the Wavestate and be detracted from actual play and musicianship whereas, this here Argon8 Argon8X and Argon8M will keep the music the priority and not, having to have knowledge of menus. What a fantastic synth. Pound for buck, a lot of synth going on there. I will be contacting the vendor I have monies behind the counter with, and holding fire on the Matriarch for the time being to get the Argon8X. Will mail you Jackson. What a top synth for the dollar, and some of those presets are warmer than equatorial sand. Nice one Jackson and Modal Electronics.

I am really getting interesting in getting Argon8. Thanks for this informative video. Is it possible to save and load user created sounds? Just like how we save presets for VST plugins.

i love everything about this synth, and i like the sound better than hydra and wavestate reviews i have heard. my only doubt about this is the low polyphany. being digital you would think the polyphany would be higher since you dont need physical oscilaters.

6:05 sounds like something straight off of Flower Boy. This thing sounds awesome and I can’t wait to get mine. Also, what’s up with that random graphic of the Argon8 in the middle of the screen for the first couple minutes 😂

Cool demo Jackson, I have myself an Argon8 and want to create ambient self generative style music. With the absence of sample and hold waveform what random source can I use to modulate the pitch ? Any good suggestions ? Also as a future firmware update request, can we please have more mod slots, maybe S&H waveform and ratchetting option in the Arp.

@GAK why is there an image of the of the back of the synth up until 5:28? Really weird editing.

I’ve got the Skulpt and the Craft Synth2 and I love both. I make dark ambient sound effects/music with both and the sounds are sic. I can only imagine what this will do to my dark music. However, I’ll be going with their desktop version with a 62 key midi controller.

It's worth paying the extra £70 for the 61 key version, tried the smaller one very impressive in a Paris music shop in pigalle

MY serum vst sounds better then this. Also the korg wavestate sounds better? any thoughts?
