I received my Cobalt 8x two hours ago…and had to return it since the c5 key was faulty (it sounded like an old joystick button). Still ordered a new one though. Modal rock but should do a bit better quality inspection per unit…

Still good without the external effects. Just received mine but i think the cobalt is very week on classical chorus and reverb. Think the modulation and other modules maybe somewhat replace the effects... any suggestions on a fx pedal for the cobalt? Reverb, chorus?
I just received my module and the small back plate that is surrounding the on/off switch and the jacks makes noise when I tap it - like its loose. Is that normal?
I suppose price is big thing here hence only 8 voices. They had to cut corners. Would you believe Hydrasynth (wavetable - digital) has also 8 voices and is priced at 1300 euros and desktop version almost 800 euros. Modal Cobalt and Argon desktop are priced at arround 550 and 61 key versions at 750. Cheapest synth with more than 10 polyphony is Behringer Deepmind 12 with 12 polyphony priced at 700 euros and a change. But if you wan't more spread sound you need to use unison mode so it is practically a 6 voice synth
I mean how many voices do you need? 8 allows alot of freedom. You can play some pretty massive chord voices with 8 notes. Do you have 15 fingers or something? 😂
@@BrokenOpalVideos64 or 128 voice. you have shallow thinking, first of all "release" eat polyphony, secondly you must learn "midi multitimbral". I understand u are very amateur. Year 2021 dsp chips cheap and you made DSP powered synth and only 8 voice I'm asking to modal electronics: r u joking me?
