Today we're looking at controlling an LS-M100 VFD all over Modbus. This video should also work for pretty much any other VFD out there as they are generally all based around the same set up.

Thanks very much! I'm not sure about servo control from a PLC. Servos work with a PWM signal and you can't buzz the IO that fast to give the servo the PWM frequency it needs. Ideally you could use a converter from something like Modbus or 4-20mA to PWM. I've never used one but they should exist.

Thanks for your great video, i was wondering is there a way that you could show in slow motion all the plc programming? Thank you in advance I am having very hard time trying to configure CB1241 using a 1212 DC DC DC and a simatics V20 I have tried Sepparately Modbus coming out from PLC siemens and being read using modbus slave app then generating modbus code and sent to the VFD via modbus poll but when i try to join PLC and VFD it simply does not work. i appreciate your comments Thank you
