Hey Rimmy! Enclave was supposed to contact you just after the vault blows while you’re in the cover. Hang out until Bragg talks to you via radio then use the enclave commlink in your inventory. It needs to happen then or they won’t contact you again. Bug I hit my first run.

Personally I played it for 3 hours and never touched it again. Felt stale just battle after battle, couldn’t get into the story much, was just spamming massive battles as if they were flexing them. I personally couldn’t get into it, but I do acknowledge that it was a good mod!

You know, my first attempt (Nerd, Vault Dwellers) got me out of there with 5 companions, a plasma pistol and enough intel to collapse the Enclave. What are you even doing here?

I'm doing my second run of this mod and honestly, the first run through is fun if you don't think about what your doing, but in retrospect, especially in the second play through, the mod has some extreme flaws and bit off way more then it can chew. The prologue is a good one. Long, quests, and with a lot of characters with memorable personalities that change based on who you choose to be. But after you leave the vault? The world is too big. No depth or detail. All the quests are the same, the 'big towns' of the map are incredibly disappointing. Very few NPC's with personalities, and your companions literally have almost nothing to say at all after the prologue. You have to initiate conversation after every major quest, and they still yet don't have much to say. If Fallout New California halved the size of the map, and put in the same work as the prologue, it would have been amazing. But you get no time to breathe or explore between quests, an empty world with very few buildings with interiors, and literally 95% of the enemies you run into are raiders who never offer much challenge. I enjoyed the mod, I really did. As a major fan of fallout, I was excited to get a refreshing experience. But one play through is enough for most. Mad respect to the developers for getting this far.

holy shit in the little animated segment they actually show Kansas City! it even has a fountain like the one on the flag

Just the beginning of this mod has a better story and more effort put into it than anything Bethesda has done with Fallout.

I hate to tell ya bud but if Bethesda spent as much time modding THEIR OWN GAME as much as the modders did, their mods would be awesome.

And then new frontier came out

Make sure on your other playthrough you dodge when it give you the option in the beginning and go high science. You can recruit a robot doggo and a custom-built battle droid in the robotics lab in the prologue.

To be fair to the modders, this was probably still one of the playtest versions of the full release of the BETA of the mod. AKA if you download and play the mod now it will be much more polished with less bugs and better FPS, much more fleshed out side missions, ect.

Imagine if all the AAA gaming companies enabled modding for their games. Is the easier access for hack making only reason we dont get modder tools for Blizzard games for example?

A quick reminder they abandoned this for the Frontier. They could have completed this and instead wasted 7 years for a burning dumpster fire.
