Looked for a Z in my area the other day and one dealership has one and they have the price marked up to $98k. Nissan needs to reign in these dealers. It is insane.

Likewise. Just last week saw one of the Nismo Z’s for over $90k at one of the dealerships. Just beyond insanity. At that price point you could go C8, 911, M3, ect….

guys, a z is soooooo worth the money. i had a chance to do a pdi on the nismo z and man it made me start my journey of purchasing a z hopefully by next year. this car is punchy, nimble, and it comes in manual! i found many z’s going for below msrp. a performance model for 51k when it goes for 56k so depending on your loction, the z is worth it 100%

i was waiting for the longest time for the z and was just left sad, the GR 86 handles better than the z and if power is your thing the zupra is not that far off of current Z prices, it looks real nice but that pricing holds it back so much

@@conceptvague5708 Not everyone wants to deal with a Bmw motor that will inevitably start leaking. Not everyone wants a sports car(gr 86) that is slower than a minivan and v6 trucks, even if it turns good, because that is still embarrassing for a sports car . The Z definitely still has a place in the market.

@@jakeritter2317 the b58 engine has been proven to be bmws most reliable engine they’ve done in a long time and makes an absurd amount of power on a tune meanwhile the vr30ddtt has a long list of documented issues coming from the q50/q60 platform from early turbo failure to timing belts if you think nissan is a reliable manufacturer you clearly haven’t been keeping up with

I bought the Z performance 2024 and I love it! I test drove the Supra and not sure why I didn’t like it. The Supra felt like one of those nerds from high school in the 80’s and 90’s trying to be cool. But they were just trying too hard.

sadly im not sure if a 60k car can ever live up to a $3,500 car in spirit. They had the perfect formula to remake the z32 and beat all the competition. All they really had to do was make it handle bettter and up the boost.

Big Nope , cars trash , multiple other channels are trying to build this but what are you guna do when you take this and other cars in its price range Destroy it on track by ALOT too, and its get smoked by cars a solid 10k cheaper lol . A ND miata with Basic Bolt ons and e85 is multiple seconds faster than this around a track . id be pissed dropping 70k + on this garbage just to get smoke by a 25 k car

My MR2T is on them now. Red stuff and UBC rotors IIRC? They work very well for such small rotors and pads.

Two things... 1. Continental extreme contact sport 02 will do the same and for like half the price. 2. You need to pick up some adjustable sway bars.

I had a 370z, the look of the new Z definitely grew on me but they are just too unavailable and expensive here in Australia. I couldn't get over paying like $80k for a car that reminded me too much of my 370z. Also felt like I could hardly get good use out of the power of the NA Z, I imagine it would be even worse with the turbo engine.

At MSRP it is a great car, but mark ups like that are driving customers away and understandably so. Hopefully coming into 2024 availability and prices will chill out!

The MP4S is not good in the cold, it is a summer tire. Michelin does not recommend driving on them below 45 degrees, that is why they make a four season version.

You need the z1 sway bars, it’s only 500 dollars, and it improves handling substantially.

I think this is a car where you maybe do exhaust and a tune, then leave it. Just enjoy it on the street. It's fast and handles well enough for spirited street driving.

I will 100% buy the Z Nismo, sure manual is fun and all, but automatic is just better, there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it, it's simply straight up better.

To be fair the performance Z is for the old men who aren't gonna modify their cars. I feel like all the critiques you have don't really amount to much if you just buy the base car at 40k. Especially since you spent 12k it would have balanced it out. All you would have left to do is buy a 2 way diff or weld it if you don't want to spend anything. To add to my point honestly it's fine the way it is because even if it came like that you would probably change it anyways 😅. I mean have you ever seen a stock 350/370z that was owned by an enthusiast.

Lol I got mine last March for 51k, idk why you would ever pay over sticker. It's too bad the manual Supra is an extra 10k because it was right out of my price range and I can appreciate how it didn't take 2 car companies to make the Z.

the z chassis has never been a sports car, it's a gt car, which is why it feels the way it does stock. That said, just like it's tt grandpa, breather mods and these light suspension /brake mods turn it into a whole other animal. Give it a few years, these things will turn out to be capable of absolutely silly amounts of power reliably, on a stock bottom end.

@@Chris-nq3et that factory numbness, the Soft dampers, basically everything people complain about. They're sporty for sure, but they're built to eat up highway miles and cruise back roads , not to be on track.

Adaptive dampers were the answer for Nissan for the handling both of this and the Nismo. Certainly the sales price of it includes a budget for adaptive dampers. I really do like the look of the new Z though both inside and out. And certainly as is, it is better than a lot of cars out there on the road.

@japookie that's what I mean... ones fwd based awd with an engine that sticks out past the crossmember and another is a front mid engine rwd sports car that was given shitty suspension from the factory. for me if I was trying to set 1/4 mile times and beat people on the highway while being super comfy with my family I'd say rs3. if you want a traditional rwd sports car the audi isn't really in the conversation

If you really want to know the truth about the new Z, you should put it side by side with the 370Z and look at it from below. Almost nothing has changed except for the rear differential. All the small points that changed were omitted to reduce costs. You will also notice that the amount of rust preventive and paint used has been significantly reduced.

The new Z absolutely can not be left stock if you really want to drive it and have fun. The factory suspension is garbage and the exhaust is a joke. With that being said, I have Volk 21c Wheels, Fortune Auto 510’s on my new Z along with an AMS Heat Exchanger, AMS Full Race Catless Downpipes, ISR Y-Pipe and ISR Titanium Y-Back exhaust. Tuned with ECUTECK the car is a completely different animal and I can’t stop driving it 👍🏼

Meh, low and slow or... You set it up for power. I think this cars focus is low and slow. No traction is a killer. Not saying everyone should or wants to go fast vs style. All to his own. Im personally a power guy. This car is confused with its mods.

Car looks great. Hate that color, but the wheels, the "stance", all that looks fanTASTIC. I'm keeping my 370Z, though. Gunna slap some boost on it and call it good...probably will do the Fast Intentions twin turbo kit. I've had their catback on the car for YEARS...they make GREAT stuff!!

In all honesty, cheap coilovers are a good way to ruin your ride. They might help a little but on very smooth surfaces, but 99% of the time you're going to regret your decision. Also, most spring rates on out of the box coils are way too stiff.

I think I would be happy with a factory Z. I think modding is pointless. Because they cost SOOOOOOOO much to start with who would want to spend that only to have to mod it. Generally modders are never happy with anything. You may as well not buy it to begin with.

My next car will be a thousand pound 200hp kit car. Production cars have too much maintaince. A kit car has no power steering, no AC, no stereo, no BS. I own a Z and I hardley get to drive it. This new Z34 makes me cringe like a PS5 with 60fps in HDR. Heaviest Z ever made, and slowest at cornering. More a vehicle weighs the slower it has to take corners or centripetal force will throw you out of the corner. So lighter vehicles corner faster. The first Lotus Esprit S1 took corners at 70mph and only 160hp. This Z34 probably can't take a corner at 45mph.

I still haven't seen a Z in person on the road. On the other hand, I've seen plenty of Supras from time to time. I think part of it is that the Supra is overall the better car, and the dealers are overall marking up the Zs to ridiculous prices. Sure, there are dealers who are selling them at MSRP, but they are few.

nope its not worth modding and its already been proven by other channels , the new Z modded got smoked on track by a STOCK manuel supra and a STOCK mustang dark horse by more than 2 seconds on track . this automatic Eyesore needs to come down in price as it does not perform anywhere near the other cars in its class . PERIOD , FACT, F Your Feelings .

Get a real job dude. I'm not spending 60k on a Z and then putting in another 12k to put it where it should've been from the factory at 60k. Nissan killed the Z with this model by over pricing and under delivering it just like Nissan did with 300Z. The 370z will only go up in value because no one will be buying the new Z at 60k.
