3:15:07 Taeha's overall thought on the Mode 65 I summarize this, So you don't have to watch - He likes it more than the Mode80. - He doesn't care for the back piece switching. - He likes the isolated top mount sound. - He likes the overall quality and options Mode65 affords you. - He finds the stack mount quite stiff but the overall board is soft enough - He prefers the Mode65 over the Element G67 - He think the Mode65 price is fair. - He doesn't think it's ideal for people who wants to buy multiple board - you could achieve similar sound from cheaper board. He argues the stack mount is pressure fitting taken to the extreme, and you can do that on many boards. - Recommend for people who wants to upgrade from prebuilt keyboards, or like the Mode aesthetic. - He prefers Mode65 over Vega, aesthetically. - He prefers Rama Thermal over Mode65

I just got into this hobby and did what everyone did and bought a tofu65!! Then I watched a whole load more videos and came across this, in stock, three month lead time and fleeeeeex!!! I ordered the PC case, brass bottom, titanium back weight and POM half plate 😃 So now I have two keyboards ordered and I haven’t even taken delivery of the first one 😂😂😂😂🙄

@@ee1yd Haha yep, this hobby reminds me of the high end vaping world, lots of raffles just to purchase stuff because of small one man enthusiast productions etc. I just love hobbies like this that are super niche, research heavy etc. It just super fun to explore and find everything out. Mostly I’ve found people have been super friendly too, unlike when I was making electronic music, the synthesiser studio equipment scene was savage 😂

I wish they did not implement that back plate and went with the same sleek seamless design as the Mode 80. I wanted an all blacked-out version with GMK WoB and that seam does not do it for me. The stock black plate does not look right with the stock black body. The black mirror backplate may cut it but with an additional 20% in taxes and import duty and shipping I don’t think Ill take the risk.

I think with the ISO mount, plate foam and some more foam in the bottom (not the included silicone) it could sound a lot more muted and nicer and would still keep the nice flex.

Buy this for the stack mount. It is very unique and rare. Great sounding too. TOo bad I am over 65% but I am hopeful for Mode 80 R2.

If you listen to typing tests you could probably find similar sounding boards. If this is your first board you cant really go wrong with it. As for the sound, they'd probably sound heavenly on it

Very nice stream. I disagree with the statement regarding the back plate tho. First it’s a really cool accent with a lot more options that you would have if they didn’t do it that way. And most importantly, this design hide any screw in a very very nice way.

stack mount is isolated top mount with a silicone base (also doesn't need screws like isolated top mount and top mount do), the top mount alone doesn't have the silicone caps on the pcb
